Does anyone else have it yet?

I just tried Walmart and Zellers.  Neither of them have heard of the promotion.  I might be having to get it online at some point.  I just made myself broke right now though.    (For good cause)

i got the bonus disk earlier today- my best buy had them in stock so i figured i would pick one up- it also goes down as a down payment on rogue squadron 3 for me!!
it is a pretty good bonus disk i must say- on it are the hoth level in rebel strike, some videos (of rebel strike and gladius) and of course the old star wars game- which is actually very fun
the hoth level is basically the exact same thing from the cube demos in stores- and it is a lot of fun- you start off on foot, you must destory a few ATAT's, then get on one of those animal things (i dont know the name of them) and last you get into your ship to fight tie fighters- i must say it is the best hoth level of all the rogue squadron games!
and the on foot stuff is pretty good- it auto targets, and control is pretty easy- i cant wait to get this game- it should prove to be very fun!

man, how quick did this game get made???
I mean, Rogue LEader was released in 2001/2002, and here we are with the sequel!
That is quite fast, if you ask me, but not as fast as Super Monkey Ball 1 and 2.

I can't wait!

Well, since RL was a release title for the cube, that means to me that they had it done quite before that and were probably working on the next one for since then. Other than the releasing of the ProLogic II stuff, we have not heard diddly from Factor 5 other than something good was coming.

oh and RPGLOVER-  the creature is called a TaunTaun.

Except if you live in Europe or Australia. SMB2 came out 2 and a half years later after SMB1 @ launch.

I was unaware the promotion had even started yet.  Personally I'm not sure yet if I even plan on buying Rebel Strike any time soon.  I mean it will probably make it into my library at some point (if anything just to play Rogue Leader multiplayer) but with all these great titles coming out later this year, time and money restrictions may force other titles to get preference.  Of course I DO want to get the pre-order goodies.  So I guess you could say this promotion is working because I'm giving some serious thought to pre-ordering which is something I hadn't really thought of doing before.

Just (literally just)got mine, put five down on the game. The guy says it was their last copy but I doubt it. I cant wait to get home and play (I am at work now). Nice proper Amaray style case, so the worry of cardboard sleeves like they get in Japan is unnecessary (for the few who worried).

It probably was, Tayrel. I preordered the game at my local EB today and they said they were out of the discs but would call me when they got some more in. Better be soon.

But SMB1 & 2, I'm pretty sure, used the same engine.  But Factor5 trashed the RS2 engine and developed an entire new one for RS3.  Extremely impressive.

I preordered the preorder disk at EB games yesterday, they were unsure of when the disk would be in.  Also, called Walmart Zellers and Futureshop, either they were not going to do the promotion, or had heard nothing about it.

Now just have to keep buggin EB untill the disk comes in, I heard their were limited quantities and freaks me out man!

Anyone in Canada having any luck yet?

"Anyone in Canada having any luck yet?"

Well I went to EB a few days ago and they hadn't even heard of the promotion.  Gee you figured if you worked in a videogame store you would, you know, keep up with videogame news or something.  I hope this isn't like an America-only offer.  That would suck big time and would greatly discourage me from buying this title anytime soon.

Hmmm...  your EB sounds totally out of it Ian.  Mine has garundamteed that if I preordered I would get the disk, so that means I will be calling them everyday untill it comes so I dont miss out on it.  They will probably only get 5 copies or something like that.

You could always go the online route I suppose.

Update:  gave EB a call today, they are not sure when the disk is coming in but said possibly coming in with the game itself.  What kind of preorder disk is released the same day as the game.  I am losing faith in these guys quick.  Anyone know of a solid online retailer where I could get the disk?

Good news!  My local EB has now actually heard of the promotion!  I mean I still don't have a disc and they have no clue when the discs will come in or even if they'll be offering it but it's at least better then the usual "uh...what?" responses I get.  I had even printed off a page from EB online just to show them that I didn't just make it up and I didn't even have to show it to them.
