Figured we may as well start a new Minecraft thread since that's experiencing a bit or a revival.
Anyone other than Mop it up and myself playing this much? Anyone want to build a world together (again)?

Do versions of this game have cross-platform play or not? I got the Wii U version for very cheap a while ago and never really played it, but wouldn't mind jumping in and contribute very little. But I'm not sure if that version plays nice with Switch or others.

Unfortunately older systems (Wii U, 360) aren't part of the cross-play.
I'm contemplating setting up a realm, but only want to do it if enough folks are interested.

It would be neat to see how many people we could stuff into a world! I have one friend who would play, but that's probably all I could round up for you.

Yeah it's a bit confusing how this works. Only the newest version of Minecraft has cross-play, and it's just called Minecraft, with no "[system name] Edition" tacked on. "Minecraft" is available on Switch, PS4, Xbox One, PC, and mobile, though the PS4 version does not support cross-play due to Sony being a butt. This is not to be confused with "Minecraft: Nintendo Switch/PS4/Xbox One/Java/Pocket Edition," which are older versions.

Sony opened up for Fortnite, I think it will lead to further openings in the future since it's been proven that it can be done.
