Have you ever come up with an idea, and then later had someone else independently do your idea and it infuriate you?

It took me awhile but I finally figured this out. I thought maybe it was another spambot that had posted this idea before because I remember having a discussion on this topic and thought I remembered ThePerm making a comment on this subject but it turns out that this spambot just stole ThePerm's post and he was the one who was originally behind this topic in the first place. These spambots that try and copy another user's original post to start their own thread with it are doomed to failure as long as I'm around. Well, unless it's a post from Talkback or Podcast Discussion as I usually don't read everything in Talkback and rarely bother with anything in Podcast. But I'm sure one of the other mods is probably covering those areas and regularly reading all the posts created in them and will thus be ready to thwart any spambot copycat activity via that method.
These forums are doomed.

Are we sure this is a spambot? Maybe it just had the exact same idea as ThePerm, and ThePerm beat it to it...
That seems like it would be infuriating.

To be honest I didn't see this as a spambot and then I looked really close at the post. I did not see that link in the question mark till now.

Still, I like CC's idea that this spambot was taking a potshot at ThePerm for stealing it's idea of starting a thread on this topic first. Look out, ThePerm! The spambot army has you on its radar now!
