Title: diffDifferences in production

My friend just picked up a cube from the WW launch. Was in the back room with the WW pre-order disk and everything, was nuts. Anyhow, I was comparing his cube to mine and noticed some differences. The plastic seems to be a bit different, in texture and color(both are purple). The little faceplate is also different, his being completely blacked out and with different notches on the other end. Wondering if this would be from production in a different plant or have they just changed production completly?

It would be a different plant, they have at least two diferent plants that assemble the gamecubes, and who knows how many who make the coponents.
