Title: Munching@Gaming
Post by: Oblivious on August 11, 2003, 05:15:58 AM
I realize this is a rather stupid topic but I thought, what the heck. So here goes. What are you most likely to be eating when you are playing your beloved Nintendo system? Salty snacks? Candy? Fruit? Veggies? Leftovers? A ham sandwhich? A soda? Icecream? Do tell...

Salty snacks, like Pringles are usually what I eat, with a soda to wash it all down.

I don't eat anything when I play games since I kind of, you know, need two hands to play games.

I'm not allowed to bring munchies in the Shrine of the Cube. Unfortunately that room was recently recarpeted so my mummy would be quite...irked if I were to bring down anything that falls apart and can be eaten.

I usually don't eat while playing, but about once every two months, I pig out to a new bought game. And I mean PIG OUT! I'm talking Doritos, Fuzzy Peach, Reese Peanut Butter Cups, Twix bars, and lots of Pepsi. Mmmmm I wish I could do that right about now...

Yeah, you don't want the controllers greasy, so when you are about to beat a boss.....slip...."OH no, Crap, I missed it. I gotta do it over again...crap."

Anything that I don't need to hold, because as was posted earlier, you don't want to get your controller all greasy or sticky

true. salty snacks give me greasy hands and force me to wipe them on something first.  fruits and veggies normally require that i hold them constantly and unless i'm playing Earthbound on SNES, i need two hands.  i sometimes make a meal and try and eat and play in intervals (play, pause, eat, play, pause, eat...). usually though my food is cool by the time i'm done playing.

perferably, i enjoy candy and maybe some fruits i can just pop into my mouth.
popcorn is actually quite good, since i can place the bowl on my chest (if i'm reclined) and suck the popcorn into my mouth.

and yes i have choked a couple times.

Salty rubbish. Not actual rubbish, though. That would be bad.
Then I get my controller all salty and yucky, and it slips out of my hands, flies out the window, and impales an old lady.

True story. I have a pile of old ladies in my backyard with Wave Birds in them. Nasty.

Yeah, salty:BAAAAAAD. I hate playing on greasy controllers. Sometimes I'll play games and eat things like popcorn. Only if it's got alotta cut scenes. Grapes are good too.

I usually don't eat, but if my friends and I have gone to Junior's to get some food, I'll usually have a bite to eat.  Or in murk's room, when we have tons of snacks.  Usually a little bit of candy, cream soda or Sprite, and maybe some sort of chip or cookie.  I seldom eat while playing alone, though.  But Super Smash Brothers (informal, just for fun matches only) and Super Monkey Ball are usually snack games.

I don't usually eat when i game, since the kitchen is downstairs.
The only thing that really fits the bill for me when i game is probably the most delicious snack ever invented:
Shapes.
BBQ of Pizza.
Bloody hell. I have a couple of boxes of them downstairs

Meh.....I just had some REAL pizza.

And yeah, i don't like my controllers greasy. The only real exception was that multiplayer night with Infernal, Mario, Joeyjojo and myself. We had pizza, doritos, and other stuff. Grease all round.

Two floors between my kitchen and my cube room, but it makes little difference.  Usually if I get a new game, I'll spend 5 bucks at my corner store for a big bag of chips and a 2L bottle of pepsi/coke.  Pepsi for now tho.

Gotta' keep my controllers grease free.  Grapes and some coke will cut it for me.

bah.  I eat greasy stuff while playing, and then press pause to wipe my hands, and then play again.

I live off grease, and I will die soon.

Heh, sounds like a good life to me

I do eat pizza while playing, if we've just ordered some and it gets there in the middle of a Smash Brothers game, so I have experienced greasy controllers.  But like Knowsnothing, I can generally wipe it off on something, so it's not too big of a problem whenever it happens.

For those who fear greasy controllers: Cut whatever you're eating in little pieces and eat it with a fork!

Official diet of the gamer: Nacho Cheese Doritos (greatest chips known to mankind) and either a can of Coke or Mountain Dew, whichever you prefer.

Ranch is vomit inducing. The advantage of Nacho Cheese Doritos is that they make you want a Coke while you're eating them. You're not just thirsty, you NEED a Coke- try it yourself if you don't believe me.

you need a coke cause your addicted to coke i picutre you with coke like Fry with slurm, how many heart attacks are you upto mouse_clicker?

personally it depends what i get, i dont eat alot of chips, but i allways eat my dinner at my pc/gameucbe (anyone whos seen my room will know that my pc cube and such are all accessable from the 1 chair) i drink a large amount of soft drink, infact i have about 10 empty cans and 2 empty rootbeer bottles cluttering up my desk as we speak.

chocolate is good to eat while gaming, RPG's are good to play while eating i allways eat my dinner playing skies or pokemon or something like that...

speaking of food my fridge (also right next to my pc/cube) needs restocking, i only have about 2 cans of coke left, some pasito (cheep ass drink that tastes nice) and a wee bit of gin left.... and i spent all my money on games ;__;

Haha- my resting heart rate in 8th grade was actually 120. That's running for most people. Since then I've cut back on my Coca-Cola intake and my heart rate's down to 85 or so, so I don't drink TOO much Coke nowadays.
