Including stability. Can't forget the stability.
A software update for the Switch has resolved a long-standing issue with the Switch and added a couple of new features.
The 3.0 system software, which is available for download now, adds the ability to pull friends from the Wii U and 3DS friends lists, and enables support for USB keyboards in docked mode. The Pro Controller can also be used as a wired USB controller, though the NFC reader will be disabled in this mode.
In addition, the update fixes an issue with some models of TV where the Switch would cause the TV to jump to the Switch's HDMI port while the Switch is in sleep mode.
The full changelog is available on Nintendo's support site.
This is a meaty system software update with a number of needed enhancements.A firmware update isn't likely to affect streaming media app availabilty-- it's probably more of a matter of getting them up on the eShop. The rest are long overdue... especially Mii importing, I was amazed I could only import my Mii via amiibo.
I hope a future system update provides the following enhancements:
Ability to:
- move a game previously downloaded to internal memory to a SD Card
- move or copy saved game data from system memory to a SD Card or cloud based storage
- create folders
- re-arrange game icons on home screen
- import a user Mii from 3DS, Wii U, Miitomo, Nintendo Account, or Nintendo Network ID
- view a system activity log
- download optional streaming media apps from the eShop (Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, YouTube, Crunchyroll, Twitch, etc.)
Well, you can technically see an activity log when you check your new friends list. I learned that I've played 110+ hours of Breath of the Wild.
What is the keyboard used for?Presumably you can use it on the eshop as well for searching stuff. And on stuff like the internet browser and Netflix.
Added for future games like Dragon Quest X, most likely. And the possibility for FFXIV since supposedly the director is in talks with Nintendo, all he requires is allowing "cross platform" play, which doesn't seem as much of a hurdle anymore.

That thing is so inaccurate it's not even funny. It told me I started playing ARMS 2 days before I actually bought it.
Did you play the demo / test runs? Because maybe it was counting that.
