Just Dance 2018 will join its predecessor as a rare three platform game.
The company announces that like last year's title, Just Dance 2018 would release for Switch, Wii U and Wii. All three versions will release simultaneously in October of this year.

LOL, I think Ubisoft is hellbent on making sure they release the last Wii and Wii U games. I am glad they are still supporting them because I know people who, for financial reasons, don't have newer systems.

I bet the Wii version probably outsells a few of the other platforms too. Glad for the people who enjoy these that they're continuing to get made. Wouldn't it be amazing if Wii outsold all the other versions, so they'll do another one in 2019?
Out of curiosity, are there many other games that get released across three (or more) hardware generations? I can only think of FIFA 2014 right now which saw release on PS2, PS3, and PS4. There's bound to be more surely.

Some? Try all of them. The Wii is still the best-selling platform for Just Dance.

I brought my Switch to my cousin's graduation party last weekend and think I was able to sell another copy of Just Dance to a family there whose young kids got really into it.

I meant more how much do they sell quantity-wise on the Wii compared to other systems.

Can't really find a proper source comparing actual numbers, but this Nintendo Life article (http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2016/10/just_dance_2017s_best-selling_version_is_on_wii) mentions that Just Dance 2017 had 44% of its sales on Wii, and 16% on Wii U. So yeah no surprise they're trying that again, really!

Yoshi's Cookie was released on three Nintendo platforms (NES, SNES, and Game Boy), but I'm guessing the header meant three successive platforms?

I feel like there were a few more games that released on PS2 3 4, or maybe PS1 2 3. Can't remember them, though.

A little while back I watched a video of a guy showing off his complete North American Wii library. The big problem for him was that Ubisoft kept releasing Just Dance games, thus requiring him to continue to buy another game that he normally wouldn't be interested in to keep his collection complete. I wonder how he's reacting to this. "Just when I thought I was out they pull me back in!"

Ubisoft is pleased to announce that Just Dance 2037 is being released this year for Sony PS8, Amazon GameBox 3, Nintendo Clap, and Nintendo Wii. (Dude is watching at home and grumbles like Sideshow Bob stepping on a rake.)

Nintendo Clap's viral campaign is causing its popularity to spread rapidly, even to remote areas the company has never been able to reach before!

ZhugeEx, an industry analyst who's pretty prolific on Twitter, has said things that support this, basically that the Wii version of Just Dance outsells XBox One, PS4, and Wii U versions COMBINED.

Haha nice. One of the comments on that Tweet mentions that Wii also got FIFA 15 when Wii U didn't. Pretty amusing that Wii U no longer got sports titles after the 2013 editions, but Wii got 2 more of them. Makes sense given the install base.
