Announcements:
The following players have died:
pokepal148 - Townie (Killed by vote) Fatty_The_Hutt - Townie (Killed by Mafia)
There is no majority vote rule. We are under old school rules so the deadline is Midnight EST.
There is no voting requirement so it's up to you all to police the other players and make 'em play. I've removed the excuse of not knowing the game has begun by sending out the mass pm to inform everyone it has so let us see what effect that has on the players.
Finally, here is today's great moment in Picard leadership!
Engage!

Looking back at D1, there was actually a surprising turnout. Most players made at least one post, quality and such differing of course.
Four people ended up not appearing: Dasmos, Stogi, TOPHAT, and Fatty_The_Hutt. Dasmos missing out on the first day isn't surprising--that happens most of the time and I know these games conflict with his timezone a lot. Fatty not being present made him an easy hit target. Nothing else really stands out from attendance except maybe Stogi, who is usually more vocal, especially if he has a power role. Food for thought.
Not much else to say from yesterday, it was typical ****. I agree that we should consolidate voting in an effort to keep the Borg limited, provided they haven't already been activated at this point. The good thing to keep in mind is that we do still have all our power roles active.

I kept tabs on day one but decided not to vote in the absence of anything persuasive. I'm also not too well versed in star trek so don't understand of these references/terminology.
Let's start day 2 with a bang, Vote Lucario

Fatty not being present made him an easy hit target.
What about that makes him a target? An inactive townie isn't much of a threat to them.

Not really a fan of the low activity going around right now.
Personally not seeing Stogi or Lucario as serious threats. If Stogi had any sort of power role he'd be making some sort of play now. I don't know if he's changing things up or something, but an inactive Stogi is more often than not a simple townie Stogi.
Lucario is always an easy target because he's Lucario. It's the easiest lynch in the world and really safe to throw out.
That being said, I'm gonna vote TOPHAT for now off of intuition. Not much else to go off at the moment when the game's a ghost town.
Should I just spam Star Trek gifs?

An inactive townie casts suspicions on absolutely no one, making them an easy target for the night kill. It's safe for Maf to hit them since their deaths won't really point to any user because they didn't raise accusations, and the Mafia could luck out and hit a lurking power role.

I was going to role play as Garak for this game, but then I decided that was too much work. He's got so many lines that are relevant to playing mafia, though. And now that Pokepal's out and Khush can't be voted for because he's hosting I have no idea who to vote for.

The day is closing down in a bit and we've only got ourselves a tie thus far.
Lucario - 1 Mop - 1 TOPHAT - 1 Stogi - 1
We need to work together and try making a consensus on motions, consolidating lynch directives can decrease the likelihood of Borg activation, provided they didn't get alerted yesterday.

For the sake of not activating the Borg I will jump on the Vote stogi bandwagon. The only other option is voting for myself or to change my vote to Mop it up. That could provoke retaliation and I already have one vote against me.

Interesting that bandwagons can be used as a positive in this game. No one got assimilated today, so either everyone who was voted for yesterday is not the borg queen, or the borg queen wakes up slower than a Windows XP laptop in hibernation mode.

are not the Borg queen.

VOTE MOP
This is completely just to stay alive. However, I don't think I should continue participating in this game as I have a busy week coming up. So if the townies want to kill me off now in order to mitigate my chances of fucking something up later, I'm cool with it.

"I am a townie"?
successsssss, someone solved one of these. Question what method did you use to figure it out?
I just guessed that it was a letter substitution so -♦- would have to be "a" and -♦- would be "I". "a*" was obviously "am" and then just guessed "****i*" was "townie"
We need to work together and try making a consensus on motions, consolidating lynch directives can decrease the likelihood of Borg activation, provided they didn't get alerted yesterday.
So far we have mostly been voting for those who already had their vote cherries popped.

Not necessarily. Assimilation happens as a night action after she gets activated so the earliest would be tonight (assuming Khush tells us someone got assimilated). And even then, she could choose not to use her power for a few days to hide herself until everyone has been voted for at least once.

Looked through the rules and it says nothing about the assimilation actions being public. They're functioning as a Cult role, for anyone who has played EpicMafia perhaps.

In case people lost track of the count:
TOPHAT - 1 Mop - 3 Stogi - 1 ShyGuy 1
Mop and Stogi haven't struck me as mafia/third party given their posting thus far and I'm willing to give Stogi the benefit of the doubt that he doesn't have a power role to begin with. TOP still strikes me because of his shifting voting and I don't have too too many thoughts on ShyGuy as of yet.
We're gonna have to concentrate on a vote and make sure to cancel votes on people we're no longer going against to try and limit the Borg as much as we can. Insofar as we're aware, they haven't been activated, though I don't know if there's anyway we can figure out save for dead player info.
Not sure if I'm in agreement with this sudden bandwagon, which was mainly done to protect Stogi who is now relatively safe.

Final tally
TOPHATANT123 - 4 TofuFury - 2 Mop it up - 1 Stratos - 1
Captain Picard changed a Mop it up vote to Stratos. It's like you want the Borg to find you. But ultimately it's TOPHATANT123 who pays the price today. Night actions are due an hour from this post. I will address some of the questions raised in the past few hours. Just finished watching Moana at the theater and am waiting for some take-out as we speak. Once home, I'll be better able to communicate and post.

Not necessarily. Assimilation happens as a night action after she gets activated so the earliest would be tonight (assuming Khush tells us someone got assimilated). And even then, she could choose not to use her power for a few days to hide herself until everyone has been voted for at least once.
There is no public announcement that the Borg Queen role has been activated. Otherwise, it could be easy to figure out who it is if only other person had a vote cast their way and suddenly the Borg Queen was active the next day.
Looked through the rules and it says nothing about the assimilation actions being public. They're functioning as a Cult role, for anyone who has played EpicMafia perhaps.
Assimilations are not public. Again, that would be like publicly announcing if the Mafia recruited a member. That said, there are certain roles that can learn and figure out who those assimilated might be as well as certain rules in place for the Borg and their voting to further assist players in identifying them if need be.
Therefore, for all you know right now, the Borg Queen could be active or could still be in hibernation.
