The farming season will begin a little early this year for 3DS owners.

XSEED has confirmed that Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns will launch for the 3DS on February 28. The game includes a plush capybara with preorders, and will also feature Mario universe-themed costumes with special benefits:

Hope it does well, so the series continues.

Not that important, but "benefits" at the end of the second paragraph is misspelled.

As a long time fan of the series, the previous game was maybe my favorite of all of them, so I'm very excited to get my hands on this one. Between this and Stardew Valley on Switch hopefully coming out sooner rather than later, I'm going to have a lot of farming to do.

I wonder how long it will take for one of these series to go the Farmville/Animal Crossing route and allow you to visit your friend's towns and farms. I would got for something like that over a traditional Animal Crossing experience.

The previous Story of Seasons already let players visit each other's farms via online play in simultaneous multiplayer and wave (magic?) wands to help people's crops and animals along.
