Honestly, I expected better.
But if Nintendo is warring on Christmas, why would the be working to plant a Christmas tree on the battlefield? That picture is a riff on the planting of the US flag on Iwo Jima after that gruelling battle. Or do you see it as the soldiers taking down the Christmas tree instead of raising it up?

Maybe if you take things literally. To me, those men are shamelessly tossing a Christmas Tree onto a pile of war-torn scraps- a fitting metaphor for the state of the world of retail.
Again, I'm surprised and disappointed by the rather limited perspective of this forum. Then again, when you make it your own self-moderated hugbox, it's hard to expand your horizons beyond Box Boy puns and historical depictions of hope.
