Title: All time favorite shooter weapon?
Post by: Oblivious on July 28, 2003, 02:51:58 PM
Hey guys, and gals. What's your all time favorite shooter weapon? I'm partial to explosives so I'd have to say the grenade launcher from TS2 is one. Tell me what you think!

The Slayer from Perfect Dark.  Nothing is more pleasing than a remote control rocket buzzing around and freaking out my multiplayer boys.

Either the gl grenade launcher, from The World is not Enough, becuase I had such good accuracy, or the minigun from State of Emergency, since you can kill dozens of people and ones w/ appendages falling off them.

M-24 from America's Army.  When I have posession of that rifle on the Bridge, I can sometimes take out half the enemy team in a matter of seconds.  I am also quite partial to the RPK from the same game.  It's highly accurate, and can fire a high volume of surpressive fire without difficulty.  I have been known to hit enemies from a great distance while badly wounded with a poorly aimed shot with the RPK.

Definitely the BFG (Big Freakin' Gun) from Quake II. That thing was awesome. Second favorite would be the remote controlled rocket in Unreal Tournament.

Mine would be that shrink gun from Duke Nukem 3D, and then step on those shrunk aliens.

I love the nail gun from the N64 Quake games. And the rocket launcher. It's very satisfying to nail a shambler to pieces.

Meat chunks everywhere.

The six shooter(revolver) from TS2 (can't think of the name), I won't play a multi-player game unless those are included. I LOVE those things!

the poll shooting gun used by PGC mods ;P

actually its a tie between the throwing knives in goldeneye (was the only way i could beat my friends) or the RPG from TFC, *rocket jumps over everyone*

The spread gun from the Contra series.  Never felt safer than firing a fan of death at all who would oppose...

i don't know.......for me, it's a toss between the Rail Gun in Quake 2 - instant death in multiplayer for those with good aim!!! - or the Tri Rocket Launcher in Jet Force Gemini - if you shoot an ant at close range, the explosion is sooooooooo satisfyingly messy, loud, and ant blood and limbs fly everywhere!

I do therefore humbly offer it to public consideration that of the hundred and twenty thousand children already computed, twenty thousand may be reserved for breed, whereof only one-fourth part to be males; which is more than we allow to sheep, black cattle or swine; and my reason is, that these children are seldom the fruits of marriage, a circumstance not much regarded by our savages, therefore one male will be sufficient to serve four females. That the remaining hundred thousand may, at a year old, be offered in the sale to the persons of quality and fortune through the kingdom; always advising the mother to let them suck plentifully in the last month, so as to render them plump and fat for a good table. A child will make two dishes at an entertainment for friends; and when the family dines alone, the fore or hind quarter will make a reasonable dish, and seasoned with a little pepper or salt will be very good boiled on the fourth day, especially in winter.
