Thanks for gathering these, Perm. Fun trip down memory lane and funny to see the difference in HOW new systems have been talked about through the ages.

I'll keep gathering these.
Funny Story.
My nephew snuck into my room and found the Planet Gamecube e3 2001 DVD I got with my Gamecube controller t-shirt. He saw Louie the cat on the cover and wanted to play it. Louie the cat was wearing a Mario cap. He thought it was a game. I told him it was a movie. He still wanted to watch it. Obviously, my nephew and I would be the only ones in the family that would want to watch that.
I hid it. And put on Mario 3d world. There's cat Mario for you.

I miss that Louie the Cat. He sure dug up some good rumors back in the day.

Watching that Wii U video I see how easy it was for people to think it was just a new controller for the Wii. I mean they said do this with the New Controller in every new segment and showed it with regular Wii games and accessories.

Also note, the first word of copy text after Nintendo on the Wii U trailer.
This is a really interesting video because they go out of their way to dis CD-roms.
Also, Stranger Things made me remember about this here
