Title: Happy Birthday Justin Nation!
Post by: ThePerm on August 20, 2016, 02:47:16 AM
I don't know how much you're on here any more. I don't see your name much, but you were very important to this site early on. So, I'd like to wish you a Happy Birthday!

I hope his birthday yesterday was great. I wish I was a part of the early life on the forums, but I probably would have been banned for losing my cool. My bipolar was really diagnosed until 2007 or really under control until 2011. Now I'm my usual self.

What were the forums like in the early days? I hope I at least am considered somewhat of a contributor nowadays. I know I can't ever match older users, but I hope my friendship is helpful here.

Site was originally called Planet Gamecube.

Now that piece of knowledge I knew! I just figured since the Wii was so popular that the forums would be busier. Then I guess it was a matter of the Wii being perceived as alienating those who loved the GameCube, and many people moved on from the forums? Plus, life in general just gets in the way, and people can't be on forums forever.

I theorize that Khush is some borg entity made up a variety of comedy writers, trying out ideas on the forums before committing to them for projects.

actually n64 era. The site started as a site in anticipation of news for the N2000 (i think)not yet codenamed Dolphin, not yet called Gamecube. Somewhat before that. There used to be lots of speculation. There were lots of tech discussion things like that.

There used to be like 5 set in stone topics, and threads just went forever.

I should make a Funhouse thread and post some of the ideas I've had but never gotten around to.
