And Nintendo sees maybe 15% of that benefit.

A mobile intelligence group has confirmed that within a week, Niantic's Pokémon Go is the most adopted mobile game in US history.

SurveyMonkey Intelligence released the report estimating that the game is on track to surpass the likes of Snapchat in terms of mobile US userbase, and has already passed Twitter's daily active users. It has also beaten popular games such as Clash of Clans and Candy Crush Saga, while tracking to use more of Google's map data than Google Maps itself.

Having conquered the United States, Niantic is turning its attention to Europe with the application releasing on the German Google Play store overnight. Other European nations are expected to follow in the next few days.

This has been incredibly frustrating. I've caught my starter Pokemon....and that's it. Busy server messages, empty maps, permission issues and constant logouts. My Pokemon Go experience has been an absolutely ****-show.

Blame Google. They need to get their cloud service functioning. It's unbelievable and practically unacceptable how bad the performance is during peak hours.

Tons of people at work are all aflutter about this game.  That's probably the first time since the switch to 3DS and Wii U that I've heard any of them talk about a Nintendo game.  There's videogame talk but it hasn't been Nintendo-related in a while.

Though I don't know how the shareholders that want Nintendo to embrace mobile are going to be held back now.  Pokémon's first mobile game is the biggest mobile game ever so I don't see how Nintendo is going to convince their shareholders that proper Pokémon games on a dedicated handheld is a good approach.  I figure now it's only a matter of time before Nintendo is going to be like the other Japanese companies that put may too much focus on mobile for my tastes.

Hey Soren, I was having those same problems (though I had gotten to 4 pokemon before they started happening.  What fixed it for me was deleting the app and redownloading it.  Everything was working find after that.
