It was easy to miss, at least after the excruciating moderation process of fixing it. Basically he bumped a couple hundred old Funhouse threads, each with an individual word from a song. He was temp banned for that, but it expired over a month ago now with no sign of him since. I'm pretty sure it was the culmination of a long con thought up by him and vudu.

That's one explanation for it that makes it look like the moderators were on the up and up....

I think the real problem may be that I didn't try to go bigger. Perhaps if I had bumped 1000 or every thread in the funhouse, then that might have been better received. Like they say, bump one thread, you're a bumper. Bump 10 and you're a serial bumper. Bump 100 and you're a mass bumper. Bump 1000 and you're a forum hero. Go big or go home and I was sent home. I'll get it right next time.

To my defense. When I bump old threads, it's when I have something new to add, or their content is somehow relevant now. It's not my fault not every forum reader can be on the same page as me. There are few who have lingered here as long.
Lol date registered 13 years ago. That isn't even my first forum iteration. I think I was previously Majorperm or Thepermman on discus forums. I've been here since 1999.
I was trying to assert MK4 characters had 20,000 polys. Not sure where I read that. Maybe in the CGI videos? Maybe?

I hate going back and reading old posts like that, I mean yeah I do enjoy it to a degree but then it takes me back to a better time and then reality kicks back in. Damn you perm for doing that, you made my day and it was awesome but then I had to get back to work and it was only okay.
Now that was a fun read, people were saying PS2 was DOOMED to fail in 2001 because GC an Xbox would crush it sales wise because they had "so much more power" than Ps2 good times Perm thanks for providing that link.

On page 3 of that thread I have a really good informative post. I don't really know what its point was other than a previous poster may have somehow thought Dolphin and Gamecube were different things. It was filled with typos.

I remember years ago when I first got on the internet discussion forums there was this person on the I think it was gamefaqs or one of those early gaming sites, that was going on and on about how Microsoft had bought out Sega and was going to re-release the Dreamcast as a hybrid Dreamcast-Xbox console called the Dream X. He was saying at the time how Sega sold Sonic to Nintendo and the rest of the company to Microsoft. It was hilarious all the posts of people trying to use actual links from legit news sites to debunk his screwy claim and he held firm for a very long time.

What happens is people read the news, tell a friend, and then the broken telephone thing happens.
Dreamcast has Windows CE on it. Dreamcast only lasted a few years. Sega announced they would go third party and be platform agnostic pretty shortly after Xbox was announced. Shenmue would be on xbox, Sonic would be on Gamecube, and Virtua Fighter would be on playstation.
To some idiot that all means Microsoft bought Sega and sold Sonic to Nintendo.
