Title: Pokemon GO region's?

Do you think that it will work for gym leaders in region's states or country's? I live in Australia and if it's a country I'm fucked, because going to Perth for a gym badge is viable! If it's a state im fucked, because going to Cape York is viable. Maybe, just maybe region's would work like mine the Darling Downs. It really got me thinking of how the Elite four and gym badges would work, what do you guys think?

The game will be designed around Japan first and for most one would think so I doubt it'll be per country. The way I would do it is have lots of Pokemon appear randomly and periodically refresh them every week so that you won't get a pokemon stuck somewhere stupid. For legendaries and gyms I'd select landmarks and points of interest for people to travel to but have enough of them so that you would never be forced to go too far out of your way to get them.
