or any other color for that matter? Metallic Silver Xenoblade Chronicle X in a matte finish or something? I hate wanting things I'll never get. It's not that big of a deal and yet it really is.

It does seem like NoA has given up on any Wii U bundles. That and a price drop might help this holiday season.

I'm good for defending Nintendo and the Wii U, but they are the most bipolar company in gaming. The highs are extremely high any the lows are valleys of despair.

We did get a Splatoon bundle, and NoA did say a “unique Xenoblade Chronicles X Special Edition will be coming to the U.S.” so ya never know, I guess! Japan got a bundle, EU confirmed to get a bundle… all black consoles so far though.
Unique colours/editions can be cool, but I’m not one to go buy another console because it’s a different colour. If I didn’t have a Wii U, I’d probably jump on a XCX bundle. And a matte silver one would look pretty nice...
Has anyone here customized their Wii U cases? Or other consoles, for that matter?

I say they should bring back the old N64 rainbow parade of colors. People don't realize how influential simple aesthetics can be. I have seen friends and family splurge on new consoles simply because of a color, even if they already own the console. I even had an ex-girlfriend who spent $130 on a Nintendo 64 bundle simply because IT'S ORANGE OMFG THAT'S MY FAVORITE COLOR!!! She played it once in the five years after that, then it went into the attic.
It only makes sense if you are a company that profits on hardware sales.

I bought a gamecube controller because it was orange. I have used it a ton though (probably second most to my wavebird).

I also wanted that orange "Spice" GameCube, but had to settle for just a controller. Oh well, at least we got the purple GameCube, which is still more interesting than black.

I have a black GC. My wife had a silver one before we were married. Then we gave that one to a friend. The GB Player was only in black so we had to keep the one that matched.

How many of you saw that new brown DK Gamecube controller and immediately thought, "That looks like poop"?
Because, I did.
It's probably the worst color I've seen for any Nintendo accessory.

Ah, interesting line-up, I hadn't seen those. I take it they are produced by a third-party but licenced by Nintendo? And you need the GCN adapter (or an actual GameCube) to use them?
I think any or all of those could end up as collector's items, since I doubt they will sell well.

They actually plug into the wiimote. So it's like a classic controller.

I was speaking to the ones in Soren's post. None of those are Gamecube controllers.
