Just a little.
Little background information. I was looking at some classified ads and found a listing for Metroid Prime Hunters DS for $15.00. Thus began the e-mail correspondence. (Contact information redacted.)

At this point, I was little miffed by their ambivalence towards selling the game. The ad had been posted weeks ago so it's not like there was some demand for it and even if someone else was going to buy it, people will often tell you that someone else has offered to buy it but will get back to you if it falls through. Yet, they couldn't wait for two days? I didn't contact them back and when Monday came, I didn't contact them. If you want to indifferent to a customer, then I can do the same to you as a seller.
Flash forward to today and a few hours ago. I received this:

Not surprising. I didn't think they were going to suddenly sell it. I decided to reply to let them know I wasn't taking it and why with this message:

I've left it at that but part of me really wants to reply: "Not surprising considering who I was playing against..." Maybe I'm not as big of a scumbag as I think. :( Or maybe I am for getting miffed in the first place. :(

I don't really buy much off of Craigslist and have never sold - but with that said, I can't imagine sending someone a message for a $15 item and just asking them to hold it for me. If it were an expensive item, totally (Hey, I'd love to buy this, but I need a few days to get the cash together), or if it was a well-explained case of "Hey, I'd like this, but I won't be in town for a few days to pick it up - can I meet you Monday at the mall and I'll pay you the $15 cash-in-hand then?", that'd make sense.
Oh well, it's not a hard game to find - hope you get a good deal on a copy of Meteors Prime. ;)

Is it me? or with the popularity of sms, people have gotten so fucking stupid on how to communicate. It should have been..yeah its for sale. Come pick it up anytime!
and i'm not sure if its that they are just a dumb conversation holder, or just big pussies thinking you're going to come to their house and stab them over a Metroid Prime game.

That's what it was! Something always bothered me about that last line. I'd look at it and feel something was wrong with it but I couldn't figure out why I was feeling that way. That's it! Thanks for pointing that out.

ahahaha full of win, although I think you could've done 4-5 more paragraphs like you do here. I have a confession of my own. I bought MP trilogy and was gonna resell it, but I've had second thoughts and have had to ignore like 3 emails about it. Am I a terrible person?

Nah, it's your right to decide not to sell. But at least tell people something like it has already been bought and take down the ad otherwise your just wasting other people's time who reply. You can always sell it another time. There's clearly demand for the game.
Speaking of Khush. F-zero mafia was my favorite Mafia. The writing...so good.
Well, thanks. Ah, my first hosting job. Back when I cared more about the job I did as host and wanted to make sure I lived up to the story part. I definitely had some struggles trying to incorporate what was happening in the game with the theme and with player's roleplay choice or some factoid about them to keep things unique and not repetitive. It was rough at times but I did like how it turned out for the most part. However, I think my favorite writing achievement now is my Animal Crossing: New Leaf Mafia because I've gotten better at writing, I feel, since the F-Zero game many years ago. That said, there are a couple gaps in the story, notably Fatty's death (which isn't going to be as great as the pic that accompanied it. I always knew that.) Now I'm motivated to fill in those gaps and make it my best Mafia writing.
