Don't call it a comeback, he's been here for years with vanishing blocks leaving suckers in tears.

After a five year hiatus, Mega Man is returning to consoles with a new collection of classics for the 3DS.
Releasing this winter for 3DS, the Mega Man Legacy Collection will retail for $14.99 / €14.99 / £11.99 and include the 6 NES Mega Man games. The games are being developed by Digital Eclipse on an engine that claims "faithful reproductions of the originals" while adding online leaderboards and demonstration videos.
The Legacy Collection will be the first Mega Man game to release outside of the Virtual Console since 2010, when Mega Man 10 released on WiiWare and the Mega Man Zero Collection launched on the DS.
If anyone's wondering why it's not on WiiU, it would cut into VC game sales. MM1-6 are all out on VC, so it makes no sense for them to compete with themselves.
Aside from that, who the hell wants to buy this anyway? "HD" graphics? Give me a break. They could have EASILY done both - updated all 6 games into high color, HD tiles with identical gameplay AND give us the original versions. They did it with Super Turbo, why couldn't Megaman have gotten the same treatment?

Nintendo gave Mega Man the honour of appearing in Smash Bros and Capcom returns the favour by spitting in their face. I'll probably still buy it to support the franchise though...

I really don't see the point to buying this collection if you still have a device that can play the Mega Man Anniversary Collection, which had more games & more features. Seriously, Capcom, why isn't the Remix feature in this at least? Saving it for future DLC?
The Legacy Collection probably won't utilize restore points, though, Azeke... and a few of these games (especially the original) are impossible to complete without them!Mega Man 1 is perfectly beatable (http://retroachievements.org/Game/1448) without restore points.

Have you played MMAC with unchangable reversed controls. I did (I still have it) and it is terrible. I can beat these games from 25 years of muscle memory, but when you reverse the controls it just becomes a pain in the arse.
