The next Direct video has been announced, and it's going to be messy.

A Splatoon Direct will air on May 7 at 10am ET/7am PT/16:00 CET, on various Nintendo Twitch channels, YouTube and Nintendo's website. The only thing promised so far is "new gameplay details" for the upcoming title.

As always, Nintendo World Report will be there for any major announcements and analysis.

I wonder if there's anything else to reveal that we don't already know.

Could be hard facts stuff like the amount of multiplayer maps (always a point of contention in multiplayer games), any more modes (I expect Turf Wars and the KOTH in Ranked Battle is all we'll get), and other details.

They have yet to talk in detail some of the things that are in the Splatoon tumblr. We might be sitting through a walkthrough of what a Perk in Splatoon is.
