Don't know if this is old news but I just read on gamers.com that Intelligent Systems is working on a new Fire Emblem for the Gamecube

If Nintendo can push this properly in the US, a fantasy title like this would help the Gamecube greatly.

They announced the Custom Robo game for GC once, and I thought it was a hoax. E3 happened and I was proved wrong.

Please people, don't hold your breath for Marth or Roy to be in the game. The series usually only continues for 2 games and they move on to a new story. Unless the game's a remake of FE1 then yes you'l see Marth.

We need a good strategic RPG for the Cube, or really ANY good RPG- all we have right now is Skies of Arcadia.

We could really use Fire Emblem. The games were always cool and it has been a shame that previous titles have not made it to the US. I have continually heard and read good things about the series and look forward to seeing this latest title.

Anyway, a Fire Emblem game on GC would be great, ive always wanted to play a Fire Emblem game. It looks a bit like Advance Wars and is also made by Intelligent Systems, i love Advance Wars so if Fire Emblem comes to GC ill definately get it! Intelligent Systems own, i wish they would make a Cube wars.

I think Fire Emblem is already about half-way through development. Think about it, Advance Wars came out September 2001, Advance Wars 2 came out June 2003, that's about a year and a half of developing a game (Advance Wars 2) that changed very little. Do you really think Intelligent Systems spent a year and a half on a GBA game? No way, I think they're developing either a Fire Emblem game or a GameCube Wars game, so hopefully we'll see one of them (or hopefully both) sometime next year. On a side note: Wouldn't it be cool if they released the Japan-only Fire Emblem or Wars tittles on a bonus disc that you would get for free when you reserve either game like with the Zelda promotion?

Or maybe they're just REALLY slow, so we won't see this game until 2005 or so.
