Just saw this surprising news. One of the bigger Trek pillars is now gone. :'(

I started up Wrath of Khan just after I saw the news. It's on Netflix, if anyone else would like to do the same.

he was 83. was rushed to the hospital last week for severe chest pains.
he just tweeted last week about certain things only being preserved in memories. So I think he knew this was the time. Blamed his health situation on smoking, which he quit 30 years ago, but it obviously had already done it's damage.
He still lived a long life. probably longer than some of us will get. and will likely be remembered by far more people than most.

hell he's probably touched more lives than all of us here combined ever will in our lifetimes. I will say he lived a long life and touched a lot of people. With this news I am not really sad, I mean its not really sad he was rather old and lived a full life it was just his time.

Most people remember Nimoy from Star Trek. I remember him from a random Beastie Boys lyric, his hilarious Simpsons cameos, and more recently, for being a dick on Fringe.
And he lived pretty long for someone who quit smoking in his 50s. His death got people to stop talking about that dress on Facebook so you know, thanks again, Mr. Spock.

What's sad is this man dies and he barely gets a mention in the news, but Indiana Jones survives a plain crash with minor injuries and its all we hear about for days. Just goes to show the world prefers Star Wars to Star Trek.
