Title: Where did you Guys buy your Gamecube at?

I have friday off from Work because of the 4th of july so im thinking about thursday running over to wal-mart and picking up the Gamecube. just wondering where all you Guys bought your Gamecube at? at wal-mart its like $150.95 im pretty sure

Heh. This is a poll, and it will probably be locked soon.
But I got my GameCube on launch day from Walmart. The store didn't open until 8AM, and it was freaking freezing, but I waited outside the store all night, and went home with a nice shiny GameCube, and played it until the lack of sleep caught up with me.

I purcahsed mine at Wal-Mart as well on launch day. Although I didnt wait outside all night, I went there about 20 minutes before the store opened. I was number 13 I believe. My Wal-Mart had 25 Cubes that day, and by 10:00am they were sold out. I bought Wave Race B.S. that day, a very good decision.

I bought mine at Fred Meyer on launch day. You don't have a GC already blueman? Best Buy is running a promo for a free preview disk and free Game Boy Player (or free game). Then again, that's probably the deal just about everywhere. Oh, it's $149.99.

I got mine at Zellers("Oh Canada"). I got my purple GameCube with Super Smash Bros. Melee a week after Christmas of 2001, January 3rd to be exact.

I bought mine November 18, 2001 a.k.a. Launch Day at 10:17a.m. (Yes, I remember the time) with Rogue Squadron and a memory card 59. It's the only memory card I have to date sadly. Like Grey Ninja, I'm almost always broke.

I got mine in August last year. At The Games Wizards. I had the choice of a GC with Smash Bros, a second 3rd party controller and a 3rd party memory card for $450 AUD. Or an Xbox with a DVD remote, E3 DVD and Halo for $380 AUD.
And yes, I actually thought about it. But my friend was kind enough to lend me $50, so I went with the expensive GameCube pack and we played Smash Bros. Melee for about 12 hours straight. Ah, good times.

Ebgames.com It was a bundle, with Luigi's Mansion, Madden NFL 2002, Star Wars Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader, Wave Race: Blue Storm, second controller and a memory card. Don't remember the exact cost but it was close to $500.00. And I got it at launch.

I bought mine at midnight in a tower record in triangle square at newport. Their credit card thing wouldnt accept my card, so I had to run five blocks to an atm machine to get the damn thing. I also had to get a lame bundle that came with luigi's mansion (still in its plastic to this day). It was worth it though, to be able to play rougue squad at 1 am.

I bought mine at Walmart on launch day. The Walmart here is open 24 hrs so they began letting them go at midnight. I thought I'd play it cool and get there at around 1 AM to avoid the crowd. I called at 11:30 just to see how things were going. I was shocked to hear that 19 of their 27 GC's were already spoken for by people standing in line. I had to bust ass to get there as I live a half hour away. Luckily I didn't hit any deer that night and came home with #23 of 27. I even got the Jet Black I wanted. I had already bought the games, memory cards, and controllers earlier that day.

I got mine in January this year. A great New Year's/Christmas present.
I got an Indigo Gamecube, 2nd official controller and mem card 251 for an impressive AUS$330 at a really great place called Funland Games. I also got ED from my Dad.

I remember the day I bought my GCN. I was closing manager at Burger King, at the time, and was working the night it launched. I left the store early, before we were even closed, with nobody else behind to manage things, just so that I could get a Gamecube. I didn't expect to wait in line for an hour for it, though! Good Lord! Ah, things went to hell that night, anways, and after one of my best crew members accidently flooded our entire dining room with overflowing sewage when he flushed after taking a crap, I was about ready to kill them all and had to get out before completely losing it. The store was a wreck when I returned, but I got my cube!
I bought it from Wal-Mart that night for the launch price of $199.

ehh getting my cube really pissed me off. i only bought it like 2 months ago, but i was a fan from day one. just was racked for cash. anyway, there was a 150 deal going around with metroid prime so that was my first choice. i went to compusa and they said u gotta be a damn member for the deal, 50 dollors a year for membership for 3 years....SCREW THAT. WHAT REALLY PISSED ME OFF, I COULD GET IT ON COMPUSA SITE , GAMEFIXX.COM FOR 150 AND GAME WITHOUT MEMBERSHIP.....PISED ME OFF THAT DAY.i really didnt wanna wait, finally got the cash so i wanted it rite then and there. anyway after that, more cheaking online, i could get, a black cube, mem card 59, extention cord, two controllers, and carrying backpack for 160. GREAT DEAL, but i didnt feel like waiting, it was at kbtoys.com they dont sell it anymore, but sometimes they do give u nice little extras. best buy surpisingly had it for 150, no game, screw that.....circuitcity...150 no game...screw it.....walmart none in stock....scrrew it.....then my last stop. TARGET!!! 150 with metroid prime, jet black. YAY, went home, played prime until like 12, had skool the next day or i wuda stayed up longer.....ahh my sweet samus.......

I was lucky enough to get it for Christmas, though I had the money to buy it by then, so I bought three more controllers and SSBM about a week later.

For christmas 2k2, Black, EUR199 w/SMS w/o memcard (got a 3rdP MC59 separately). Got it at a small local retailer.
They're having a cleaning-out of old games at Mega Company (yep, it's called like that! And it's pink!) right now, I think I'll go over and grab some at EUR20 a piece...

Picked up RL & SMB at EB a couple of days before launch. For some reason, the whole shipment of Monkey Balls weren't shrinkwrapped. Picked up a memory card and Spice controller at WalMart the day before launch-eve.
Went to the 24hr Super WalMart with my friend around 7pm, along with GBA's and 4-player link cable and Advance Wars and Mario Kart. Found out there would only be 8 Cubes and we were the 8th and 9th in line. We'd heard rumblings that the people not in the first 8 would be better off making their way to BestBuy or Target (both 20 minutes away) to camp out for the night. Fortunately, we decided to sit tight, and they miraculously "found" four more in the back. So we used some handy-dandy masking tape to put giant numbers on ourselves so noone could cut in front of us and just waited and told late-comers that they would have to camp out somewhere else. While waiting a couple of our friends stopped by to check up on us. So I was one of the few who asked for Indigo, we took a couple funny victory photos (holding the surprisingly heavy box above our heads), and went home. I hooked up the cube and tried out a bit of Rogue Leader before my mom nagged me to go to bed.
It's true what they say. Camping out for system launches is fun.
My 64 was also black, I don't think purple or anything else suits me too well.
