I adore the look of this game, it is absolutely gorgeous. And its plays like the DS ver, count me all the way in.

The game looks good. And I'm a fan of the price being the same as Captain Toad (if they do the same thing here as in Japan), it just makes sense for games like this.
Is this the first Wii U game to emphasize using the stylus at all? I can't remember any other trailers that showed using it and I don't believe I've used it in any of the games I've played.

I haven't been following too closely but is this only playable with the stylus or can you play traditional Kirby too? I guess I am not sure what is the point in putting Kirby in a game if he can't fly and eat enemies.

About half the Kirby games ever made involve him being unable to eat and fly. And quite a few people would even say those are some of the better ones like the original Canvas Curse and Mass Attack, which were 100% designed around the stylus like this game is and great games because of it.

its to me like putting Mario in a game where he can't jump. They can do it if they want but I doubt I will enjoy it. Others are fine to like what they want I suppose but if you have to change the core game why not create a whole new character for that experience people have an expectation for some characters.

Your extremely narrow taste is not Kirby's problem.

Agreed. Boiling down Kirby to just a puffball that can fly and eat enemies is doing a disservice to the many games that have introduced new gameplay mechanics to keep the series fresh.

You didn't say spin-offs. You just said putting Mario in a game where he couldn't jump. Those are all games that Mario was put in where he doesn't jump. One could even include things like Mario Paint, Dr. Mario, Yoshi's Safari or Fortune Street. What about Punch-out? He's in that game as a ref and doesn't jump. There's plenty of games with Mario bit parts in which he's been put in a game and can't jump.

I'll get it but not this Friday. I just bought Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask, Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney and Mario Golf: World Tour. I am just finishing up Kirby: Canvas Curse for the first time as well so I'm getting my move Kirby with lines fix.

Let me know if you'd like to play World Tour sometime. I occasionally play it now and again just because I love it so much. My favorite arcade golf game, for sure.

I can definitely see myself playing Mario Golf pretty soon. It's been a long time since I've player a Mario Golf game and I just love the cover and look of all the colorful courses. Really want to jump into it. Just trying to finish up a few AC tasks and Canvas Curse first though.

I'm getting it via Amazon so it will probably arrive next week. Gives me just enough time to finish playing Epic Yarn.

Went to the store today with my mom's Best Buy card. Turns out she gave me her My Best Buy card instead of the credit card. hehe
I'll be picking this up later tonight and will have all weekend to play it. That and Majora's Mask 3D.

Picked the game up digitally last night. Completed the first "world", and so far I'm digging it. The game's claymation art style is just gorgeous, and the music is surprisingly good as well. My only real issue with what I've played is that I don't much care for the "one chance or you miss it" approach to the collectibles, especially when you aren't sure what the "correct" way forward is. Plus, I had to do the first stage all over again because I ran out of star shots trying to get at that chest in the air up by the bell. Just like The Order, I'm really not getting where the reviews are coming from on this one.
