Title: Nintendo Free Radio 43: Love Was In A Danger
Post by: Shaymin on September 13, 2014, 03:44:49 PM
Duck Hunt Dog CONFIRMED FOR EPIC. Time: 2'40"22 (Direct Download (http://nintendofreeradio.podbean.com/mf/web/7gtebv/NFREpisode43.mp3))
Now that it's September for real, games are allowed to come out again, so why not let Nintendo Free Radio take you down the well-worn path? Austen leads off New Business in a stunning upset, as he examines the arena combat expansion Infamous: First Light and the beta for Mighty No 9. But the main event is the rematch of Hope vs Dis Bear in Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair. The truth bullets are flying, but there are no full-on spoilers. Donald has no objections to court drama, but prefers his with a side of British class in Professor Layton v Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney. After that, it's a double dose of reasons why Mighty No 9 is a 2015 game as the crew fires on Azure Striker Gunvolt and its free (until the end of November) 8-bit demake Mighty Gunvolt. Stephen's Destiny has to wait, but he does complete a tridefecta with Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D and gets heavy into crafting systems in Tales of Graces F (the F is for freaking complicated).
We bid someone a "fond" farewell in Now Posted, then bypass Whatcha Watchin in order to give the Nintendo news (up to taping date) a full rundown. Mario Kart 8, the Smash leaks, and the New 3DS all go under the microscope, as well as Sony's pre-Tokyo Game Show press event that really bears down on trying to revive a dead system in Japan, and also had some Vita stuff. The Mushrooms hit the joys of retailers who don't care, when cross buy goes horribly wrong, and when social media goes right.
In case you haven't heard, we're all a-Twitter now; cozy up to @nfrpodcast (http://www.twitter.com/nfrpodcast) for show updates, a quick way to send feedback, and the occasional code we're too lazy to cash in or picture of a host getting drunk. We'd love to hear from you for future shows, as well, so give us a look.
The podcast was recorded on September 7 and was edited by Donald Theriault. All music and clips are used under Fair Use provisions. Donald will be drinking, but is waiting for his import to arrive because by god, he's doing it right.

If you haven't already, Broodwars, just play until the second witch trial because that's (quite literally) where the game hits it's golden stride.

Sadly, I haven't had the time to invest on that game that I'd like, especially with Curtain Call out now, but I do mean to get back to it soon. The next few weeks look a little quiet, so I should be able to squeeze it in.

Fixed.

'Fraid not. Natural Doctrine, Alien: Isolation, The Evil Within, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, Sunset Overdrive, D4, and the Bayonetta Duet are all on the docket in the next month. And that's excluding stuff like the new Sherlock Holmes game I have mild interest in.
