Apparently a photo was taken from Nintendo's upcoming E3 2014 booth regarding a new game allowing players to perhaps create their own Mario rumors.

I didn't see any threads on this yet, so I made one.

I'd say photoshop but a really drunk John Lindemann told me it's all legit so I guess it's true.

Nope! That was for the rumor regarding Mario Maker. This is a completely new and exciting game made just for us Nintendo fans where we can create rumors about Mario and other Nintendo franchises.


Mario: Rumor Maker is a simulation game where we can play as one of the Nintendo execs (hoping that Yamauchi is a playable character). We craft rumors and release them in the different markets. The excitement generated determines our score. There will be in-game options to post your Mario: Rumor Maker crafted rumors to your MySpace and LiveJournal pages because Nintendo is making sure this product is hip and relevant with the modern market.


I am personally hoping they release a Zelda Rumor DLC Pack because who doesn't want to generate rumors about LEGO Zelda being the next big thing?

I hope they patch the early bug I heard from someone at Retro - apparently starting a rumor about "Mushroom Kingdom Hearts" wins the game by default.
