Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley is coming to 3DS later this year, according to publisher and developer Natsume.
The Lost Valley, which is being developed internally at Natsume, features a full 3D setting for the first time in the series, allowing players to fully customize their world with whatever crops and flowers they want in their farm.
Last week, XSEED announced that they were bringing Story of Seasons, known as Harvest Moon: Connect to a New Land in Japan, to North America. The Lost Valley is not related to that game. Natsume owns the Harvest Moon name in North America and this new game is being developed by Natsume as opposed to regular Harvest Moon developer Marvelous.
Natsume's most recent internally developed games include Reel Fishing Paradise 3D and Gabrielle's Ghostly Groove 3D. They have developed Harvest Moon games internally before, mostly spin-offs such as Harvest Moon: Frantic Farming on DS, or alternate versions of Marvelous-developed games such as Harvest Moon: Another Wonderful Life on GameCube.
The obscure Japanese farming sim equivalent of Civilization: Call to Power.Hey Harvest moon is amazing i view it as good as animal crossing!
I'am confused now!
Which harvest moon game on the 3DS should i get?
You completely missed his point. The Nastume title is going to be the awful cash-grab knock-off and the XSeed version will be the true version. It was not a knock against the Harvest Moon series, but a knock against Natsume's attempt to hold on to the title.
I'm sticking with the "true" sequel. I am also a fan of XSeed so I like to support their efforts when able. If the Natsume version turns out great as well I might consider getting it but I have a feeling it will not be anywhere near as good.
