He didn't want to job to Scoprion (again!), but I think the ref threw his arms up in an X in the end, that injury looked legit.

Looks great. I'm mostly interested in story mode because story in MK9 was legitimately great. Injustice tried to do the same but fell short on so many aspects (mainly length).
Also curious how they're gonna follow up MK9 canon, because basically everyone freaking died in the end, except for like 3 characters.
Completely new moves look weird, like Scorpion doing shoryuken, Guile's flash kick and Kratos thing with two chains. Are they changing it up to make it more of legitimate fighting game for a tenth time?
Will grab it on PC, but i expect crapload of disgusting DLC schemes bolted on, so i will wait a bit.

I liked the last Mortal Kombat with its focus on a quality SP story mode, but was really turned off by the lackluster Injustice: Gods Among Men. I'm interested, but at this point I'm so fed up with all these developers teasing games for months and then announcing them for 2015. At this rate, there'll be nothing to play this fall.

I am fine with the wait. I don't have a PS4 or Wii U yet and I am only getting one this summer the other not till maybe my birthday or latter. IF this gets announced for Wii U, I might get it for that first if not I will be buying a PS4 just for this game alone even if I wasn't already planning on getting one.

Hmmm, first reports didn't show 360 and PS3, but WB has confirmed. Definitely gonna pick it up for PS4 or Xbone, probably PS4 since they (PS3) got Kratos last time. But either way, Wii U version isn't happening.

Also the trailer is all CGI (damn it looks like gameplay though, for the most part), but it will be show at E3 officially, so eff yeah!

And BnM, I definitely wasn't expecting it either. But I'd definitely love to see this game hit the Wii U. I'm such a huge fight game fan, that I wouldn't pass it up if it were on a console I owned. Maybe Steam? Hah, irony, as I could play it using my Pro Controller. :P

It's his game. He created the series, so yes essentially the money goes to him and his team.

If that was directed at me, I wasn't all I meant was if it did I would get it on that system, if I had a Wii U, which I don't and this game is one of the many reasons why I don't. Considering that in previous generations Mortal Kombat games have typically been staples on Nintendo consoles, even having at least one released on Wii. I see how it was something some people were still hoping for, especially knowing they are doing a 360/PS3 port which as I understand it their excuse for leaving Wii out with the last two were all about specs. Since specs are not the case here entirely, it now comes down to sales which considering slow sales for N64 and Game Cube, and those still had main stream Mortal Kombat games it was NOT unreasonable to at least hope for this game to maybe get brought to Wii U all things considered.
But of course people think that Wii U has ZERO 3rd party support which is blatantly false they still get certain multiplatform titles, this being one that many people are excited for that was a possibility due to previous track record, and the fact Warner is one of the few still making games for Wii U or at least they were last time I checked obviously that could have changed.

Well damn, I was hoping this would be the game to get a PS4 for, but if it's gonna be on PS3 anyways, might as well save me some money. I love Mortal Kombat games and so far few have let me down so I am in no matter what console it's on.

It's rather tame compared to what actually was in MK9. As expected they're making new characters, i was hoping they will find a way to resurrect old characters they killed in previous one. Gameplay doesn't look all that different except for clean UI without any health bars and other gauges, but i think it's just for presentation's sake.

Mk 4 was just MK3 in 3D. Deadly alliance was a real proper 3D game that gave every fighter 3 combat styles, two hand to hand and one weapon. Deception kind of narrowed that down a bit and Armageddon was just MK Trilogy in 3D using the Deception game engine it was okay but not great. MK 9 was like SF4 it was 2D fighter like classic MK but rendered using polygons. MK vs DC was more like a traditional 3D fighter in a lot of ways.
Also the fighters moves have grown more intense, somewhat customizable in some instances, and the gore is far more intense now than ever before.

Mortal Kombat (9) is the best in the series, realistically, but nostalgically MKII is the best. This one looks awesome.

Don't discount MK9's story.It was great, full of fanservice for fans of MK from 90s -- story basically starts like a movie and goes through many familiar characters. Basically -- if a character was in any of the first three games, he/she is in MK9.
Gameplay wise -- it now works on 4 buttons instead 6. Now it's basically Tekken button layout. No run button, but you can press forward twice and do dash. Not everyone has roundhouse kicks.

I agree the story has always been one of the strengths in this franchise especially compared to other fighters, the game play has been all over the damn place though. The gore and the story is what keeps the series going. Also by now there is some nostalgia mixed in but the games have always had a great, well developed story with a rich mythology and deep motivations for their characters, not all of them but they do have an actual mythology something most fighting games lack.

Yeah some of the fatalities are really really vile. But also hilarious in terms "yep, they went there".

Never, ever, ever buy their fighting games day one and always wait for "GOTY" editions with everything in.

WB keeps pushing their DLC feces.
Now new Batman has 40$ season pass before the game is even out. Obviously we don't actually what have they cut from the main game to sell us piecemeal so it's a complete scam as all pre-release DLCs are.
At this point i am gonna stop even waiting for GOTY editions and start waiting for Humble Bundle editions and set donation bar to 0 to WB.
