I thought the GBP would save the GC, guess not.

It's really but a rough few weeks for the GC but I think August will be the month to look out for (FFCC is going be released on Aug 8th).  If it doesn't sell then then Nintendo's going be in some trouble.

Not that I disagree with you or anything, Ymeegod (Nintendo is indeed flundering in Japanese waters), but have you EVER posted a positive comment about Nintendo that wasn't forced so people don't think you're a fanboy?

Hehe, Xbox is fighting with PSX again.

It looks to be a rough week for all other consoles and handhelds. Considering that even the GBAsp has sliped this week.

Did the GCN numbers jump at all last time? Because that 800,000 systems sounds kinda good for Nintendo.

Oh yeah i forgot to mention that those numbers are from june 9-15, the week before GBP release(atleast so i have heard) so its not a surprice. sad, but not ssurprice.

I find it amazing that the PS2 is still selling so well.  I mean, at the rate it is selling, doesn't everyone and their grandma in Japan have a PS2?

I doubt it.  Some of us thought Mario Sunshine and Zelda: The Wind Waker would be system sellers, but they weren't.  It is simple, what the GC is lacking in Japan is RPGs.

GBP has been out since mid-march in japan.

That's why alot of people imported it (that and it also comes in multiple colors unlike the Black that the US is getting).
