Title: NFRIT Solid 16: Conker's Bad Fur Day (2) v Dragon Quest IX (3)
Post by: Shaymin on March 25, 2014, 09:19:22 AM
One flushed a fine British gentleman down the toilet to advance to R2, while the other survived a challenge from a great Wii platformer. Will clean be better than dirty, or dirty better than clean?

Conker's Bad Fur Day: We could just say “Great Mighty Poo” and you'd wonder how the hell this made it past the censors, but the Rare-developed 2001 platformer isn't just about battling giant piles of... fecal matter. Conker's adventure combines classic Rare platforming, biting satire and a fair bit of alcohol to create an experience that has to be seen to be believed.

vs

Dragon Quest IX:
The meltdowns were immense when Dragon Quest IX was announced – a MAIN Dragon Quest on a HANDHELD? This is madness! - led to one of the DS's most replayable games and a fine return to Nintendo platforms for the classic RPG franchise. Even after clearing the main game, there were still dozens upon dozens of quests waiting within the expansive world.

Conker is one of the greatest platformers of all time.  DQIX was have been the first to really take it in a different direction, but it's still a DQ game.

I flipped a coin. It fell down a gutter so I don't know what to do here.
