Title: Forumers sez: What is your favorite discussion on NWR right now?
Post by: Khushrenada on January 26, 2014, 04:47:24 AM
Hey all. Welcome to a new feature here on the NWR forums. I notice that there has been a rise in "staff sez" articles of late but I don't understand why the staff should get to have all the fun in telling us a bit about themselves and answering simple questions when they are so few compared to all the people who view this site and use these boards. Plus, I knows many of us forumers could sez bad grammers and the English just as well as those staff so thuses I figured I could design something similar in my efforts to create some features for those in the bleachers. I'll work on a catchy phrase later. Still, as Talkback 2 continues to find it's footing in subverting the news, this is the kind of slow news day hard hitting articles I will try to produce for your hungry forum eyes.
Anyways, the main point is, I sent out a question to some different and prominent posters here at NWR to get their answer to one question. That question this week is "What is your favorite discussion on NWR right now?" I thought this would be a great question to perhaps direct us all to some different threads or parts of the forum we might not frequent or have seen of late and further spark more discussion. Hopefully, it will give us a bit more insight into a few of these posters and what makes them tick. At the very least, I think it will help shine a partial spotlight on the efforts made by a few here to help keep this a lively place. This place wouldn't be the same without them or their many recent contributions.
Without any further adieu, here are the answers I got back from the forumers I questioned:
Bill "Pedobear's cousin" Aurion

NinGurl69 "I heart Peach" *huggles

I don't think all of those are affectionate.
And besides, who says yours wasn't affectionate? :D

I think I need to update my title. I'm always beaten on by angry Guatemalan robot women now. What happened to the days when mods just gave forumers titles at their whim?
I'm curious what the criteria was for this poll. I think the pollsters phrased the questions in a way that got them the answers they got. Nobody likes the forums that much. And what about the lurker vote? They aren't just a one-topic demographic. Stop stereotyping them as always opposing Universal Banning.
And spam bots are people too. Where is their representation?
And you still haven't released the poll data for UncleBob Care versus The Affordable Posting Act.

Someone got upset over their title and ruined all the fun.

So just don't change their title. Only person I heard complain was Oblivion. I figure that anyone not happy with a title change can go to the title wipe thread and alter it. But those who appreciate that kind of humor shouldn't suffer. It made the community here feel genuine when I was first getting active.

Actually, it wasn't Oblivion. It was another poster who isn't here anymore. He got mad because his title was changed to an exact quote he said. ;)
I figure it's just better to not screw with people's titles. No one gets hurt feelings this way.

[Insert overly earnest expression of own opinion which reaches to be insightful while also taking a humorous slant on the above topic]

Lol. Well, all you have to do is stop posting and disappear or be permabanned and then hope that someday I make another post like this and mention you with a nickname like these posters.

I now realized a made a mistake. I should have called this "Forumers Whine" instead. Just when I thought I had all the angles covered.
