Title: Having a problem with Pal verison of Metroid Prime and freeloader

I got the pal verison on Metroid Prime and a freeloader. The game won't load and all I get is a blank screen. Is this game incompatible with the free loader? Do I have a bad disc? Please let me know if there are others that have this same problem.
