Rosalina and the baby versions of several Mario characters will be playable in Mario Kart 8.

New footage of Mario Kart 8 was shown at today's Nintendo Direct, revealing new characters along with new tracks. The new tracks included an airport, a desert, and one that is described as "high in the clouds." Racers will drive many vehicles in this new installment, including UFOs.

Mario Kart 8 is set to release in Spring 2014.

I loved playing as baby mario and baby weegee in Double-Dash.  Hopefully they'll drive considerably different to the other playable characters.

That Kirby Air Ride tease was kinda funny.

I wonder if people who keep bringing up Nintendo Kart had a heart attack of something during that.

Honestly hate the direction they have gone with the "Karts."  Seriously want the whimisical DD karts back.  They fit better in the Mario Universe.

I fell for it hard. I knew that was rainbow road so the first thing that came to mind was "they finally did it… Crap, here comes Smash Kart…"

I'll probably end up picking up this game. I missed out on MKWii, which I kind of regret.
