I've never been in the position to be scrambling at the end of the CN year. I usually have Platinum wrapped up by the end of the calendar year.

If you got it digitally you needed to have your Wii U linked up and it just shows up.

So I'm probably not gonna be able to hit platinum status today, but I will still have all of my coins tomorrow right? I'm at 430, waiting on Super Luigi U, Nintendo Land, and Yoshi to come through with some more coins (another 130 I believe). I have a DSi to register but I'd have to update it...and I...don't want to do that.

I registered the Wii U then bought Luigi and Yoshi, so I should be covered there. Nintendo Land came with it obviously, they said I'd get 50 points but not for a week or something.

I started late on Club Nintendo. :P Definitely nowhere near some of you guys, but I hold my own now. I've already got several games in waiting to add once this CN year ends.

I didn't even know Nintendo made enough products to get that many coins... O_o
Since I mostly buy games on sale for various reasons, I never know how many Nintendo games I'll get in one year, so I save all my registrations and focus on just reaching platinum each year. 2012 has a bunch more coins because that's when they changed the coin values for a lot of games, and so I entered in all the ones that were going to drop in value. I've got enough for a few more years at least, and then I'll have to start buying stuff new again...
600 is fine for most people, that is 9 first party Wii games (counting post-play surveys) per year or 15 DS games. Really hardcore games will reach that, but the average gamer will not necessarily reach it easily. The fact that the program just started may be a factor too as you are registering all of your past games. I doubt this will be as big of a problem next year.
Yeah, five years later and I'm still pacing out my surveys and registrations...

Okay, just finished up the last of my 720 coins worth of surveys to start this Club Nintendo year off. The counter is still messed up, so as with last year, I'm showing that I still need 300 coins to gold, but it's showing that I've done enough surveys this year to get my Day One Platinum status. :D
