Title: 3DS System Update 6.0 Brings New Games to StreetPass Mii Plaza in Europe and Japan

European and Japanese Mii Plazas are bursting with new content!

Japanese and European 3DS owners can now enjoy a complete overhaul of the StreetPass Mii Plaza as part of the 6.0 system update, which includes four new games and two new puzzle panels, in addition to other features photo filters and save data backup.

The new games have been made available for purchase in the new Mii Plaza Shop. They are as follows:

• StreetPass Squad - A role-playing game similar to Find Mii (known as StreetPass Quest in Europe), but takes place in space. Developed by Good-Feel Inc.
• StreetPass Garden - A gardening sim in which the player grows flowers and decorates to become a master gardener. Developed by Grezzo.
• StreetPass Battle - A strategy game based in the feudal era where you build an army to battle other generals. Developed by Spike Chunsoft.
• StreetPass Mansion - A paranormal investigation title, in which the player must solve the mystery of a haunted house by interacting with characters and battling enemies. Developed by Prope.

Individually, each of the games cost £4.49/€4.99. Users may opt to purchase the combo pack of all four games for £13.39/€14.99, but the combo pack can only be purchased if the user has not already bought one of the games. By progressing in these games, players can win up to 99 new hats, as well as Plaza Tickets that can be spent on Mii accessories at the unlockable Exchange Booth.

On top of all this, four new panels have been added to the Puzzle Swap application: The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Xenoblade Chronicles, New Super Mario Bros. U and one depicting several Nintendo Princesses.

Some 3DS owners in Europe have reported stability issues after downloading the system update, with crashes occurring in the StreetPass Mii Plaza app. We will update you with more information as this develops.

UPDATE: Nintendo has confirmed that they are looking into the purported crashing issues with the 6.0 update. A Nintendo UK representative told Eurogamer: "We are aware of some reports of technical difficulties which are occurring and are currently investigating the situation."

I thought it was 4 panels.  Xenoblade, Skyward Sword, New super mario bros U, and one of nintendo's princesses (peach/daisy/zelda)

This is a surprise! Looking forward to when this hits state side.  I wonder when the 2nd Summer update for WiiU will occur?

I read elsewhere that it was New Super Luigi Bros. U.

Just came across the other two puzzles. Still not sure if it's New Super Mario Bros. U or New Super Luigi U, as we haven't seen a completed one yet.

Story updated - a Nintendo UK spokesperson has confirmed that they are investigating the stability issues that people have been reporting.

I would like to be looking into all the things that this update has added, but my StreetPass Mii Plaza has become sporadically accessible, so it's hard to get a solid grasp on the new stuff. Hopefully, there will be a patch fairly soon.

Interesting to note the all four games were handled by four different third-party Japanese developers. I'd like to think this could mean they will be more substantive than StreetPass Quest/Find Mii was. As Justin says, we will keep you posted once the update starts running smoothly.

I gotta say... this is an awesome post-E3 surprise!
 
However... when will we be getting this in North America? The suspense is killin' me!

Can't wait for this to hit North America. Will definitely pick up the full package.
May have to buy three of them since we have 3 3DS's in the house...

That would be very useful. I hardly ever get streetpasses despite living in a city and bringing my 3DS everywhere with me. I am, however, an avid pedestrian, so if Nintendo were to lift the 10 coin limit then I could finally make some progress in Streetpass Quest and the Panels.
 
There's just simply no motivation for me to buy these new Streetpass games because the fact of the matter is that I don't get many Streetpasses.

I get a good number of street passes every day so if they sort out the bugs and the games are good I'll be happy.

I want....this...badly.

Also, my local StreetPass group has an event Saturday. Before then at the very least.

I'm excited to be excited for StreetPasses again. I've been tired of Find Mii 2 for a while, and puzzle pieces are reaching diminishing returns.

I've already received this update in California. I don't notice any new photo filters in the camera app, though.

I was excited for new Streetpass games, but then I realized that they cost money. I like the Find Mii games, but I would never pay for them. They're nice distractions that keep me attached to my 3DS when it would otherwise be off. They're still just distractions.
