From the developer behind Xenoblade Chronicles comes a new open world game.

X, the new game from Tetsuya Takahasi's team at Monolith Soft , the developer of Xenoblade Chronicles, is coming in 2014.

X will feature a large open world which can be explored by players seamlessly. Not a whole lot is known about the game, but players will be able to ride, fight, and fly in giant human looking robot mech suits.

I don't think what they showed today brought to light anything that I hadn't already inferred from the previous trailer. I would really like to have seen a little more. Monolith really do like trailers in which characters run while the landscapes fade from one terrain to the next.
 
I'm still super excited to see more of this game. Xenoblade was my game of 2011 and one of my favourite Wii games period, so I'm pretty confident that this game will be great.

So 2014 is the year I decide whether or not to buy a Wii U.  This game alone might be enough to sell it to me... although Sony's next gen console looked pretty good with their PS4 presentation.  Could be a tough decision.

Just buy the Wii U now and then save up for the PS4 as it doesn't come out till Nov/Dec then you don't have to choose.

Stunning trailer! It gave me the shivers! This CRUSHED the new Mario segment for me in this ND. I assume the tower that ticked down from 60% to 59% will be a central part of the story?

beeing just 40 hours into xenoblade i feel so sorry for monolith. maybe they have the best game (at least top 10 if it is as good as xenoblade but in HD) of the current and coming console generation and they bringing it to wiiU.

i am a nintendo fanboy but damn - ps4 for 50 $ more? just bayonetta and X can't be the reason to spend so much money on a technically 6 year old console with nothing else in the pipe.

I expect that after hearing PS4's price point, the WiiU will be getting a price cut this fall.
