Well, I think the first problem is that you seem to be connecting to the wrong server.  Please check our chat/trivia page and make sure you have the proper server information.

No Rick, Mirc-X is our server. It's got multiple address (irc.mirx.com, irc.planetjurai.org, irc.dmusic.com). Try port 6667 instead of 7000. Also, it's not OUR server, our chatroom is just on the server. It's up 24/7 and there are always people in our chat room (#planetchat).

Wrong server, wrong port ... same difference.    Seriously, it helps to simply cut and paste the server information from our Chat/Trivia page and paste them into the appropriate boxes, just to make sure that you have everything set up right.

Okay, here's all the information you need....

To use Java Chat (which sucks): http://chat.cjb.net/planetchat (PGC also has their own chat link on the page, but it that fails to work, the link I gave might.)

To use a Client, like mIRC-X, Trillian, or ChatZilla:

1) Server = irc.mircx.com or irc2.mircx.com or irc.simon1.net or irc.planetjurai.org
2) Port = 6667 or 7000
3) Password = NONE -- Leave Blank
4) Group = mIRC-X [only applies to some clients]
