In the Windwaker, in Hyrule Castle where you get the master sword look at the windows specifically ones with the triforce on them in the middle of it there is a small upside down tiangle it kind of looks like an extra piece. Its probably nothing but take a look for yourself and decide.

Seriously though, I doubt it's anything much, but who knows with Nintendo? This may be their subtle way of doing things, and you're very observant to have noticed.

That extra piece has been thought over for a while now. It's even in OoT, on the Hyrulian shield(The extra piece is near the bottom of the shield, I believe). It is perhaps nothing, but I guess we will have to see what the next incantation of the series will reveal.
