Title: 3DS eShop Outs Ninja Gaiden's Release Date

How do you lure a ninja out of hiding? Release it on the 3DS Virtual Console, I guess.

Ninja Gaiden for the 3DS Virtual Console will be available for purchase on December 6. The title, originally released for the NES in 1989, carries a price tag of $4.99. It was originally scheduled to arrive on the 3DS on November 8 according to an October press release.

Ninja Gaiden is known for its difficulty and early use of cinematics. Players control Ryu Hayabusa, and attempt to stop a madman's attempt to destroy the world.

The series most recently surfaced with Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge for the Wii U.

I'm a late comer as far as Ninja Gaiden goes (having only played the original NES game when it was released on Virtual Console), but I really enjoyed the game. I really hope that Ninja Gaiden 2 & 3 are finally given a digital release in Europe. I eagerly awaited those releases on Wii Virtual Console but they never came.

Yay, finally get to play this. Hopefully save states will make it easier.
