Hmm well I guess things ended on a bad not for the townies and they lost. Few things I noticed about behavior during the game and activity. Perm wasn't really bringing attention to himself which is smart since it would halt the progress if he was discovered. He would also just check the progress of the thread and if him or his teammate wasnt in danger we wouldn't push it or get into needless conflicts. Couldnt really afford to with 2 people. However ohhhboy being that he was the normal goon he could go talk to you townies and since the Killer died the first day there really wasn't that much risk to it.
Also to Ceric I think I have only been Mafia 3 times out of games I have played a Nutrial 2 times and the rest I have been a townie. Go look up the Mafia Hall of Fame thread it is a helpful guide for peoples behavior.

I didn't do anything too special. I just played the character. It was easy since I based it of Nolan's Ra's which was a morally grey character most of the time with a strong steak of honor running through him. He is a villian, but in some ways he has laudable goals, but the means as to how he goes about it is evil. By playing the character, I didn't have to play myself. Mix in a bit of Bane's truthfulness, it meant I didn't need to lie from a certain point of view. For me theatrics was really where it was at.
It really helped on day one all the real veterans got massacred. I hadn't intended for Unclebob to die day one, I really was going for the draw, but shifting the vote afterwards would have likely revealed me. Shyguy was playing shyguy AKA, like a nutbar. He out jokered joker except the whole voting for yourself. Perm's hit was insanely luck on his part who could have shifted the balance for the townies and himself.
So err, who gets to win my prize? I can't give it to myself. I do enough self loving as it is. I assume Kush has some of prizing giving protocol.

If I remember right everyone votes for who should get the prize but this is his game so I will let him handle it. I am just up this early because I have 2 things on my plate. Finishing up the 3rd layer to my game. I am working on how I am going to deal with the signup problem but I think I have it figured out. I will just have two different layers depending on how many signups. One will have items and the other will have a 3rd group.

I sent Khush an email and when he dispenses the prizes I will put up the sign up thread. I also have to switch out my router for a new one that I got for my BDay which I will do in about a hour an a half or so so if it is before then I will put it up before then if not then I will put up the signup thread later tonight.

Well, haven't checked my e-mail yet so I'll have to see what that message is.
As for how the prizes will work, I didn't want to say too much about them at first so as not to have that influence the game. But unlike other games, I didn't want to make a convulted points system either. So, the method I came up with is a random draw. Therefore, anybody can win, even somebody voted out on day 1. Winning the game will increase your chances but it's not a guarantee.
Plus, by keeping it on the downlow, I was hoping it would be a special bonus to reward people who signed just for the fact that they still like playing mafia. So, how will the draw work?
Simple. First, everyone who signed up gets their name on a slip of paper and it is put in a bucket. From there, every player who was alive at the start of day 2 gets another entry. Every player alive at the start of day 3 gets another entry and everyone alive at the start of day 4 gets another entry. The winners then get 2 extra slips thrown in for their benefit. So, like I say, everyone has a chance and the better you did, the better odds you have but it is not a slam dunk like in the past. I think it might be a better to handle prizes and I'd like to hear your thoughts on it.
The only negative I see is the argument that non-participating people have better odds because the mafia will keep them around. But I'm not going to worry about that this time around.
Now if I name is chosen from the bucket and I reach in again and choose that same name, does that mean that person wins two prizes? No. The first time that name is selected is the order people will get to choose in. Once a name is chosen, any entries of their name still in the bucket are void for inclusion on the prize list.
Everything clear so far?

Now, the reason I choose the Batman theme is because, in addition to it being a bit timely with The Dark Knight Rises in theatres, I've got more comics I'm willing to give away again to make room in my closet. So, what's up for grabs this time?
Well, the grand prize to me that I'm offering is some Flash related stuff. Basically, it is the Flash Rebirth miniseries with issue 4 being a variant cover, the Flash series that started after it (all 12 issues) and the Flashpoint miniseries that the series launched into complete with all extra miniseries and one-shots that were part of it except the Booster Gold crossover.
2nd prize is nothing to scoff at either. The complete Power Girl series from a couple years ago which lasted 26 issues along with the Brightest Day: Generation Lost bi-weekly series that tied into it and the current Justice League International series that was part of the new 52 and wraps up at the end of the month with its last issue.
3rd prize is a package of Green Lantern issues. It starts with part 1 of War of the Green Lanterns and includes all the Green Lantern series of that period (Green Lantern, Green Lantern Corps and Green Lantern: Emerald Warriors) and continues on to the present day new 52 issues of Green Lantern, Green Lantern Corps and Green Lantern: New Guardians up to the Rise of the Third Army story about to take place.
4th prize is some odds and ends series I'd collected. Birds of Prey 1-10 of the previous volume before the new 52 launch, DC Universe Legacies 10 issue miniseries going through the history of the DCU, Justice League: Cry For Justice Miniseries and a 3 old Dick Tracy comics because Dick Tracy is awesome.
I'm going to add one more prize which actually should take up the third spot. A collection of Star Wars Comics. In this case, the complete Star Wars: Empire run with a few issues of Star Wars: Rebellion tossed in for good measure as well. The stories range from crazy good to sanely lame but your mileage may vary.
But what if you don't like comics? This is a gaming site after all. Well, that's where oohhboy comes in. He has generously volunteered to donate a copy of the game S.P.A.Z or the code to get 90's pool for the 3DS if a person would prefer one of those over the comic issues.
One final note. Last time I did this for the DC Mafia game, I sent out all the prizes and took on the whole shipping expense for a few reasons. This time around, I am going to ask for a $10 donation to help with the shipping process for those that take a comic prize.

As for the draw, I'll do that tonight and make up the selection list of players choosing the prizes. If you do not wish to take a prize, you may abstain and we'll move on down the list and give everyone a chance until there are no more prizes.
Also curious to find out from those who were around last time I did this, how did the comics end up after shipping? Did they arrive ok or was there any damage from shipping?

I saw a post from Khushrenada in Talkback and I just knew it meant there was a new Mafia game. Unfortunately, it looks like I totally missed it, which is a shame.
This sucks, I haven't missed a game since I started playing.

Saw you hadn't been on the forums for awhile so I tried to reach you via swapnote but I guess you aren't using your 3DS much either. I was also posting around on the forums before I even decided to kickstart this mafia game too so don't think my appearance always means mafia though its close.

Alright. Here is the order of the prize choice list. Appearantly, dying on day 2 had it's advantages.
Ceric completely defied the odds by getting both first two picks. It's weird. I mixed the slips of paper up well but it just came out that way. The winners didn't have as big an advantage as I thought but it could have just been the randomness of this particular draw. The Day 1 deaths ended up at the bottom still so their odds proved to be correct. Strange.

I demand some regression to the mean! ;)
Funny enough I don't actually own any comic besides a box of post WW2 somewhat(Really) racist propaganda boys war stories. Power Girl would have been nice.
As a quick reminder the 3DS game code is North American only.

Sorry. For some reason, since you were a moderator, I suddenly had it in my head that you would have the NWR prefix in front of your name as well. Weird.
