Title: Coursera
Post by: Lithium on August 01, 2012, 01:28:22 PM

Well it was after watching this recently updated Ted talk:

that i discovered this website called Coursera (https://www.coursera.org/), its main goal is to bring the university learning experience to your computer for free I recomend that you watch the video because it's a really awesome idea. It got me excited enough to sign up for this course pretty much as soon as the video was over
https://www.coursera.org/course/programming1 (https://www.coursera.org/course/programming1) (and then write this post)

I've already been Using Khan Academy (http://www.khanacademy.org/) a similar(ly awesome) website (online learning) but it isn't really structured like a course it seems geared for interested people to learn about certain subjects. So this whole thing isn't new to me, but still i know first hand that Khan Academy is awesome, and i hope that after i use coursera that it'll be even more so. Figured i should take the opportunity to tell you guys about these two websites.
