If I remember correctly I used "Shrine Bros" by Anamanaguchi. It's from the Scott Pilgrim vs The World video game soundtrack.

Regarding Donkey Kong Country Returns, I would go as far as to call it the best 2D platformer since Super Mario Bros. 3. That game is amazing, and is a testament to how great Retro Studios is.

If I may leave a minor suggestion for your podcast...
I listen to these podcasts at work on my computer (I'm not allowed to bring an mp3 player into work...), so I don't have Itunes/etc. to divide chapters/segments on a podcast.  I have to listen to it from the site.  Would it be possible to add timestamps to the different segments, in case I want to skip one?  For example I'm already sold on pokemon conquest and don't want spoilers, but I'd love to listen to listener mail.  If this is too much work, don't worry about it, I'm probably in the vast minority of readers who would use it.  So don't do it just for me!

Anyway, keep up the great show!

Gears of War

Also I meant the structure of the game not the "sales" or mascotting thereof.

Thank you! I love the podcasts here. Keep up the good work.

my games:

Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition ( Cop - out)
Wii sports & resort
Angry Birds
Draw Something
Zelda Skyward sword
Super Mario Galaxy 1/2

I don't want to think too much about this list so I'll leave it their for now.

By the way the editing in this episode seemed a little off, some longer pauses between segments. It wasn't bad just a little jarring.

by the way pokemon conquest seems like a crossover between pokemon and fire emblem and not sure why nintendo NEEDED to get that other franchise when it had its own to use for cheaper (no royalty) or else my comparison not accurate.

I agree that Nintendo Land isn't so grand.
What they could have gone with is an open world similar to games like Go Vacation, Fishing Resort, and We Ski & Snowboard on the Wii.
