It's like a fucking competition for Blunder of the Year or something. It's like Nintendo are looking at the Vita and thinking "how can we top that for non functionality?" It's like Nintendo want to be more out of touch than people think they are. It's like I've run out of metaphors.
What the **** are they thinking? They redesign the 3DS by making it bigger and heavier? It's already too big and heavy! This is why I spend most of my portable gaming time on my iPhone! The pixel density on the 3DS is already embarrassingly low for year of our lord 2012 and they go and make it worse! They release a crazy arse peripheral to add dual analogue functionality to their rushed to market portable and then, when deciding to redesign it, don't add that? This design will require a new, even crazier peripheral! WHAT THE **** ARE YOU DOING NINTENDO? The battery life on this thing is STILL **** and they've ramped it up to a size where they're competing against Ultrabooks that last all day. Oh and they're not even including an AC adaptor with it in Japan. Get the **** out of town I'm calling the cops on this ****. Where is the dept of consumer protection when you need one?
If you buy a 3DSXL you are part of the problem.

That motehrfucker is THINNER than YOU 3DS XL, you piece of ****. AND it's battery lasts longer when it's editing 1080p video with it's 16GB of RAM and Geforce GT 650m. Apple had the fucking courage to ditch bullshit like ethernet ports because it was holding their badarse machine back. Not you 3DSXL, no you don't even have internal fucking memory, you have to use an SD card like a fucking retard. THe Macbook has an SD card slot too, not that it needs one with 768GB of storage already int he machine. BUT HOW DO THEY DO THAT? I'll tell you how 3DSXL, you emtyshelled crap, because Apple actually designed it, they customised every component and slotted it together like champions. I would've thought a glorified tetras box like you could've aspired to a more complex and compact internal layout. But you can't 3DSXL, because you're made by Nintendo, the latest non car company still run by blundering idiots with no clue about technology.

It was obvious that any redesign would be bigger because they couldn't really make it smaller without making the screens smaller too. The redesign looks fine to me.
And I said before that any 3DS redesign would NOT have a second analog stick until at least 1 game REQUIRED the Circle Pad Pro (not that many even support it, and none require it).

Bigger is nice, but I won't buy a 3DS until they add on the second analog. If they don't, then I guess I'll have to wait until the 4DS.

Its not a big deal to me anyway, because I'm not much of a handheld gamer. I'm sure if I get a 4DS 5 years from now I'll be able to pick up all the great 3DS games I missed out on (and for cheap). In the meantime I'm more than content to stick with consoles... my backlog is huge.

How is it possible to compare a $200 device with one that is ten times the price?! ... Nintendo is already having trouble turning a profit on the original 3DS, which is already relatively cheap, and you expect them to release a device with components worth more than anyone can afford?! Furthermore, Nintendo devices are supposed to be affordable, durable and easy to service. I would like to see your sight when you drop that Macbook Pro and crack that display.

I've seen that look. They freak out for about ten minutes before bringing it to an Apple store and getting it fixed, usually for free.

I tried getting my Wii fixed under warranty because the disc drive had gotten itself fucked and they said they would for $90. I ended up trading it in to Gamestop during a special and got a new one with the credit I made off of it.

I'd like to see a handheld which has no screens whatsoever, but instead has hologram emitters which beam the games into mid air so you don't need a screen at all.

I've never dealt with Apple's customer service (since I've never bought an Apple product), but once your warranty is up, you might as well forget about them altogether.

If you buy a Mac the AppleCare plan is definitely worth it. Three years of phenomenal service. The corresponding iPhone/iPad plans aren't as good.

Nintendo Hardware has been solid in general so I won't know what their repair service is like. I can say the same about the level of quality of the Apple stuff in general, but seriously **** iTunes. That thing breaks my computer for some reason. I can have the computer going for weeks on end, but start up iTunes a couple of time for podcasts? **** goes to hell in hours or days.
3DS has been a slight disappointment because of the grease lines. I mean seriously, didn't someone test this **** out?

If you're talking about me I'm just basing my opinion on reports from customers at our shop. They will bring in, say, an iPad 2 with a cracked digitizer. Apple (as in the "genius bar") tells them that it is simply impossible to replace the glass, and the only option is to pay $350 for a replacement (and give theirs to Apple)...we tell them it's $120 to replace the glass. They'll crack the LCD on their MacBook, Apple tells them they have to pay $750 for a replacement...we tell them it's $150 to replace the LCD. If you're under warranty, they're great, but once it's over you're screwed. They also must not have great standards for employees since they hired the douche that ran his own shop into the ground and locked the doors to his shop with several customers' phones still waiting (for weeks) to get fixed.
I wouldn't go as far as to say that AppleCare is *worth* it, it's just that your **** out of luck if you don't get it and your **** breaks.
They still aren't as bad as SONY, who will straight up steal your PS3 from you if you don't pay the diagnostic fee on your console within their short timeframe.

Yeah, because Apple is the only employer to have workers that went postal. In fact, I'm pretty sure that term even originated in an Apple memo.
I sent an old MacBook of mine to get fixed after I'd dropped it more than a few times and water damaged it a bit. I brought it to an Apple store in New Orleans. They said it would be about $80 and I thought that was worth it, but I got a phone call saying it'd be 200 or so a day or two later. I decided it wasn't worth it since I was just gonna buy a new computer in a few months, and they sent it to DC for me. That's the worst I've ever gotten from Apple.
