Title: ***MARIO KART 7 NWR WI-FI NIGHT*** Planning Thread

We here at Nintendo World Report are planning for an event for all of our readers to play Mario Kart 7 online together soon after its launch. What I'm looking for here is input as to when it should be. I'd like to do this within the first week, so I've created this poll to see what the people would like. Vote here for what days you think you could be available for this.

If I get it earlier then Christmas.

Any night but Monday and Wednesday is good for me though! So excited to play that Mario Kart DS flying fortress stage again!

Again...since I'm kind of beholden to Amazon (because of game credits), I'm not supposed to get my game until the 7th. So I'll have to pick a date of the 7th or later.

A night like this makes me want to get the game sooner, but it just doesn't look good enough to warrant full price. Hopefully, you guys will still be playing in a few months!

Looks like a lot of fun.. Sadly I have already decided to hold off on Mario Kart and Mario Land. Someone wanted a few ideas for Christmas presents for me and I listed them, mostly cause I thought it would make for easy things to find. Hopefully I will join in with the fun after the holidays.

We're planning on making these kinds of meet-ups a more regular occurence, especially given how much better the 3DS online system is than previous Nintendo efforts (but also going back to some Wii and DS games as well), so don't worry if you can't make it to this one. I made this thread for the Mario Kart launch event, but if anyone has any ideas for future events feel free to express them here.

Good news. I was about to say that I've bought a lot of games in little time, so Mario Kart will most likely be a Christmas gift. Unlike other Nintendo online titles, though, the community will probably remain active after the first few weeks, so hopefully there's no need to be concerned about holding off a while.

Oh god, I canceled my preorder yesterday and was hoping that I could get this for christmas. But now that I found this I'll have to get up early and pick it up tomorrow! Picked Saturday, December 10.

It looks like Saturday the 10th works the best for the most amount of people, so we'll do it then. That gives everyone time to get the game and get some practice in before the event.

I picked my copy up at Walmart at midnight. I'm good with any day, but next Saturday will be the best since I still have a few assignments to finish before exams.

Just got the game and having a blast with it. If the event occurs on Saturday, I can probally join you guy. Otherwise it will be quite difficult. Do you have any idea which time this event will start?
EDIT: Sorry guys, it seems that i cannot participate due to the differences in time zones (+6 hours for me). I will be in the community earlier in the day/evening.

Well that was fun. Won a little bit more than I lost. I hate that Bee hive level. It just badly built for Karts. the universal chat system was neat, but I wish it had a normal chat system beside it.
When's the next met?
