Title: Misty Pink 3DS Coming to Japan
Post by: the_dan_x on September 13, 2011, 10:39:30 AM

The 3DS turns all rosy-cheeked in Japan this fall.

Nintendo will release a new hardware color variation, Misty Pink, on October 20 for 15,000 yen. Once released, that will bring the number of color variations released in Japan to four – Aqua Blue, Cosmo Black, Flare Red, and the new Misty Pink.

There is no word yet when or if this new color will appear outside of Japan, however, last week Nintendo did announce a "Metallic Rose" colored DSi XL for North America would come out in September.

I think the real story is the chart they had before the Pink 3DS that showed there where more Males who owned a 3DS then Female.  Implying that led to a pink one.  Regardless its well known Pink is a popular color but that is sort of sexist.

Ceric, when I edited this I thought about working that into the story. Decided that it should be its own.

I don't know why they insist on making the top inside half black, some of these colours would look better if it weren't like that.

This is actually true. if you use black background (in the image on scree) you can actually simulate things coming out of the screen via an optical illusion.
