The Dragon Quest press conference broadcast, which will also cover the series' 25th anniversary, is streaming live on Ustream and Nico Nico Live. Andriasang has a live blog in English here.
& that is perfectly fine with me, because I was only gonna get the Wii U version anyway.
Now can someone post a video or some pics or something. I still haven't even seen what it looks like yet.

The stocks lost value?S-E went down and Nintendo went up right after the announcement.

I'm calling it now, the Wii U version will be the only version that gets released outside of Japan...Pessimism is fun and all, but in this case, I don't think that's going to happen. Unlike with the recent triple RPG group that NoA passed over, Dragon Quest is an established series, and it's one which Nintendo have been recently publishing in North America and seem to be trying to build a fanbase with. And the series has been finding reasonable success lately, so they will continue bringing the games over. Since the Wii and Wii U versions have sharing features, I imagine that will be advertised as some sort of selling point, so both versions will be brought over.
