Title: eShop eBlows.
Post by: Crimm on June 16, 2011, 09:57:55 PM
So whenever I try to download something from the eShop I get the following error:

 Error Code: 005-6535
An error occurred while attempting to connect to the Nintendo eShop.  Please try again later. If you continue to experience problems, please visit support.nintendo.com for assistance.
When I vist the website I get this:
Error Code: 005-6535
An error occurred while attempting to connect to the Nintendo eShop.  Please try again later. If you continue to experience problems, please call 1-800-255-3700 for assistance.
I can get into the eShop. I can browse games. I can add money. I can't download anything. HALP

They know it's you. Try wearing a fake mustache when attempting to log in.

Also, I'll check my shop status in a moment.

Edit: Mine works. I just downloaded Donkey Kong.

Do you have the ports on your router set up a certain way?  Are you blocking any port ranges?

No, and more concerning I can connect to the eBlows just fine. The issue only happens once I confirm that yes, I am old enough for an E for Everyone game.

I tried it at Barnes and Noble the other day (an AT&T wifi spot *cough*) and got the same result.

I called the 1-800 number (repeatedly) only to be told that there are no operators available to assist me, and to use the website...which tells me to call the number...which tells me to call the website...which tells me to call the...blah

GOD DAMN IT, NINTENDO! WHICH ONE IS IT?

I might need to go with option #3 - send an email. I find the prospects here particularly horrifying. I'll probably be redirect to the website to restart the entire horrible cycle.

Did you get a pair of shoes instead of a 3DS?

You had to verify you were old enough for an E-rated title? I was right. They can see you. I noticed you didn't try my fake mustache suggestion. That's your problem. Try to borrow Wooly Willy's.

What are you attempting to download?  Have you tried more than one title?  Virtual Console and Trailers download directly to SD Card.  Perhaps something is awry with your SD Card. Do you have another SD Card to test with?

Multiple titles. Trailers. Etc.

I managed to download Pokemon and Excitebike at the LACC.

Was thinking this as well. Maybe try deleting the eShop data from the Extra Data management menu. Perhaps that's corrupt.
