New courses, new karts, new mechanics!

Mario Kart 3DS is set to allow customizable karts, with additions such as monster wheels and hang gliders.

The new trailer showed additions such as an underwater travel, gliding through the sky, and many exciting new tracks. Classic tracks from previous titles appeared as well, such as Luigi's Mansion and Airship Fortress from the previous DS Mario Kart game.

Reggie promises this game to be a "tricked out version that you've never played before."

But are there Bikes?
I doubt it with all the vehicle transitions shown in the Video.

My worry is that it is now even easier because you can drive underwater at the same speed as land, and falling in water doesn't result in a restart. Hopefully it's board specific.

It course specific you still had to follow the track and direction arrows.
