Title: Episode 82: Playing with Noise
Post by: famicomplicated on October 21, 2010, 10:42:38 PM

James Charlton helps celebrate the spicy variety of video gaming life.

Did you like the second, third and fourth games? Let your fellow listeners know in TalkBack! Think you've got a better choice? Then send it my way and your request might be on the next episode of Radio Trivia: Podcast Edition!  Heck, throw in a question and specific songs if you want.  Just remember, it has to be a game found on a Nintendo system in North America (unless we say otherwise)!

Games featured in this episode:

Kirby: Canvas Curse (DS)
Rhythm Heaven (DS) (a.k.a. Rhythm Paradise)
Silver Surfer (NES)
Alone in the Dark (Wii)
Stunt Race FX (SNES)

(Highlight the text above with your cursor to view it.)

For those confused, this thread was generated via the website. Apparently it chooses the first name in the list of authors, and that list is always in alphabetical order. Email *me* your requests--not James Charlton. :P

Let it be known far and wide, henceforth, that on October 21, 2010, I finally successfully named a game on Radio Trivia.  Silver Surfer.  This is a historic day.

Let it also be known that I owned the original game and my record is the completion of 3 stages.  Let it also be known that I originally got this game from Toys-r-us when my mom took me and my brother to the store and let us both pick out one game each.  (This was unheard of.)  I chose this game and I think my brother chose the original TMNT game.  I'm not sure who picked the better game.

Also, the music for game #4 was amazing.

I never knew.

2/5 this time around for me. Cheers for playing my request. Although I'm afraid to say that you butchered the pronunciation of my surname, bur I'll make allowances because everyone says it wrong.

2/5 for everyone this week! Myself included, but that's kinda cheating.
So in actuality I got 0/3.
Fail.

Is it the Spanish pronunciation i.e "Haro"?

Finally listened to the final product beginning to end. I have to say, I thought this episode came together nicely. Thanks again for co-hosting, James.

Also, sorry for mispronouncing your name, Killer_Man_Jaro. Is the double-L in your last name a "y" sound?

Great episode, gents. I got the first game more or less through the process of elimination, but had no luck on the next four.

It's actually a Russian name and is pronounced 'Mah-leen-ah'. Perhaps "butchered" was overstating it. Anyway, it's not a problem.

I'm glad the show is on a consistent regular schedule now, as I know it was difficult when you were in Japan. Also great that many different members of the staff are able to rotate in and out of the guest seat, so everyone gets their voice heard eventually.

Game 4 blew me away, I would listen to that (track one, at least) even outside of the game.

For those wondering about the next episode, it's recorded but I haven't had time to start editing it yet. We have a brand new co-host this week, so watch (listen?) for it!

EDIT: Still haven't had time to start editing this....I've been busy working on something else for the website. Given I'll be out of town part of next week, most likely I'll have this up for next Friday :( Sorry, guys!
