Title: NBA Jam HD
Post by: BeautifulShy on October 05, 2010, 12:35:25 PM
Seeing how the Wii version is out today I thought it would be nice to have all of the talk about the 360 and PS3 version in its own topic instead of in the Wii topic.

I thought I would start the conversation of with this video.

Skip to the 1:35 mark to skip through some spoilers at the begining. He talks about some DLC content. After that he looks through the roster of players.

You're joking, right?  We've known this thing was multiplatform for months.

Well, I haven't followed it since the announcement. Initially it was announced to be a Wii exclusive, IIRC.

You didn't notice the title change on the other thread?
It went from "He's on Fire" to "He's... stopped, dropped and rolled"

loss of exclusivity was a big part of the title change, the main reason was the no online on the Wii version though.

I picked up the PS3 version today and put a few hours into it and...eh, I'm glad I got it for the price I did, because I can see this game getting really old really quickly.  Don't get me wrong, it's a cool game (and the announcer's funnier than I expected).  It's just that there really doesn't seem to be much difference between the various modes, and some of the JAM Challenges look tedious (and they're required to unlock everything).  And apparently Big Head mode is mandatory on the HD versions as soon as you unlock it, as without it I can barely tell my players have different expressions.  Still, cool to have this series out and about again.
